All they want is the service fee!!!
So I have a samsung dryer that is 2 years old and the heat stopped working. i called Allen and son to come look at it and give me info on the situation. As i am a working man i had my mom there to meet the repair man Bob. Bob looked at the dryer, was paid $45 as a "service fee" and left a "invoice" with my mom with a ridiculous service quote $137.15 for parts and $137 for labor. when my mom called me to tell me the situation i had specific questions tha i needed answered by Bob. THe left no contact info beside the 800 # which goes to the main office. the main office has a policy of not allowing the service man to be in contact with the client after they leave the call. So here i am with important questions un-answered and the service man and the Allen and Son got paid yet i dont have further info. After 3 trys of being on hold for over 20 mins i finally got a call back from a "manager." The manager said the invoice that was left by the service tech should have all the info needed including the part # (s). I verified all of the info on the invoice and there is only 3 details. problem- heating element assembly part pricing $137.15 and labor est. $137. Not even the part #! so i ask the "manager" since there is no info that i expected in writing, can i speak with Bob to get his details. the manager again tells me that Bob wrote down eveything on the invoice and NO i can not speak to him directly. I wanted to know what exaclty about the heating assebly was wrong since there are several thermostat and humidity sensors that go with it. Is it necessary to replace the whole assembly!? i couldnt decide to believe them or trust them. The price to fix it is 1/3 the cost of a new one. Do not waste your money or time with Allen and Son appliance repairbecause all they want is your sercive fee!
