I was doing a gift card that McDonalds said was free if you did too of their offers from companies that they had pre selected. When it got to the registration of my method of payment the message came up "your credit card has been denied." I figured that once that message came up then that was the end of it, only to learn from my credit card company Capital One that they were going to infact put the charges of $95.90 on my CapitalOne card 01/02/09.
I told them what had happened but they said I can't do anything until the charges are applied to my card for payment. I told them again that the system said the card was declined he said, sorry you can't challenge the charges until they are posted to your card, this seems very unfair to me as I certainly didnot think I 'd be charged when the darn card was denied. I'm also going to register a complaint with Yahoo.com. as I think this is unfair. My creditcard company also said that until this is cleared up I can't put any other charges on the card as with these charges I have reached my credit limit. They don't expect me to pay this as long as it's under dispute but they can't give me any credit either.
