I recently bought a semi-mount from the seaofdiamonds.com website to replace the setting of my princess cut diamond. I bought a six-pronged semi-mount that seaofdiamonds.com claims will fit all size diamonds from 0.30 to 3 carats. Upon taking it to my jeweller so that my diamond could be fitted into it, I was informed that six-pronged settings only fit round brilliant diamonds and this setting only took small diamonds (not like mine), and that the setting for a princess cut was like my original setting- four pronged.This is apparently information any sales person would know, let alone someone selling diamonds. The prongs of this brand new ring now have to be melted down so that the four pronged setting for my diamond can be built onto the ring which supposedly fits all shape diamonds – more expence for me thanks to the misrepresentation taking place on the seaofdiamonds.com website. I would return it but no courier will carry gold in this part of Europe. Buyer BEWARE!
