Defective item, no refund/replacement
My sons purchased an XBox 360 Elite from this seller on ebay, in May 2009. The device worked for about 2 weeks, then it quit. The boys contacted the seller for a refund or replacement. They were told to fill out the form, which they did. They were also told that to receive a refund, they would have to pay a restocking fee. My son told them to send a replacement. The defective device was returned to the seller in June 2009. My sons have still not received a refund or a replacement. CNC always has some lame excuse for why they have not yet sent a replacement

Replacement Warranty
I experience the rings of death at times. I took the system back to the store I brought it from and they refused to exchange or replace the system as my 2-year replacement warranty states. Why? Because Best Buy could not duplicate the rings of death. I experienced bad customer service and the corporate staff was defending the store about the new policy. PLEASE READ IT BELOW.
Thank you for your email. I apologize in advance for your latest experience with your local Best Buy location! I can definitely understand your frustration, I would be frustrated as well. This really frustrates me as I wish the store would just explain to you the process, correct one at that and try and get everyone on the same page. Technically, the store's are no longer supposed to be exchanging X-Box 360's out in store, whether the PRP plan was purchased or not. Microsoft took this option away saying the wanted to work with their customers more directly. So say if you only had the manufacturer's warranty, you would have to contact X Box directly. You do in fact have the Replacement plan however. With this, the correct process is for you to contact our Product Replacement Plan department directly. They will collect your information, send you a pre-paid label for you to send them your X Box and in turn mail you a gift card worth the amount you paid for the unit so you can purchase another! Again, this is 'technically' the correct process when a product is covered under the Replacement Plan. I have provided the Product Replacement Plan phone number for your reference below. If you already have your PRP number for the product, great! If not, please tell me if this is the 360 or ELITE you're having problems with and I will provide you with your PRP number for it. I apologize again for the inconvenience. I am building a case around this issue and will be making it available for the General Manager as well as the District Manager to address accordingly.

Well Public readers I heard nothing of this sort when I purchased a 2-year replacement warranty which cost me $80.00 and not to mention the system which cost me over $ 400.00, and I don't want to spend my money in Best Buy. I called the corporate office and left a message stating I wanted a refund so I could buy another system where ever I wanted. They never returned my calls and kept sending emails stating I called and you were not there.
RETURN my MONEY ( Cash Only ) Best Buy and I will go about my business. I will also post all of the emails I received regarding my comnplaints one at a time until I get my full refund; and I don't want your gift card.
