I have been a customer of Xanadoo since August of 2008. I have used the same credit card for my automatic payment since my enrollment. Now it is April 2009, all of a sudden my credit card doesn't pay the bill. Well this would be understandable if I had exceeded my limit on the card or it had expired. Not the issue here. After a long wait on the phone, someone finally tells me it was refused by my card company for an address issue. I have not moved or changed anything. So dummy me, I give them my debit card number to pay the bill.
So back to the credit card company I call. After a long wait here, they inform me that Xanadoo has billed me twice in one day for services. One bill is 26.32 and the other is 32.96. Excuse me, the agreement was for 24.99.
I get wise and check my debit card, you guessed it, they billed it too! So in a matter of one day, I have paid over 90.00 for my service. This all boils to a point where the credit card company informs me that Xanadoo or any merchant knows that it takes 4 days to recieve payment, even with auto-pay.
So here I sit, with over $90.00 worth of bills, and extremely agitated. I decide to go online to check a few items, and what happens...Xanadoo is not working ONCE AGAIN.
If you ever have issues with the Xanadoo service not working, which has happened to me more than once, talk to your grandchildren. If you call you will get some generic answer like, "your neighbor just called, same problem. You just to need move your modem closer to a window." I happen to be fortunate enough to live next to a Xanadoo Retailer, who will call for me and find out the real problem. Which is usually on Sunday nights and Monday mornings...Server is down...
