rings on disc
in nov i bought the 360 for my 12 year old for xmas on dec 6 i lost my 16 year old daughter in a car wreck so i gave my son his present early almost from the start the red ring occured i called and thay said send it back obout a month later here came a new one i was pleased a few months ago it started cutting rings in the disk and teck support told me it had to be dropped or moved because their machines cannot i repeat cannot malfunction without this occuring a machine that cannot malfunction so now im lying in 54 years noone with any sence had ever called me that to my face so0 im alittle mad make it right microsoft of have an enemy for life

console scratching video games
On June 26, 2010 I called Xbox 360 customer service and explained to them that the game console is making large rings around every game that I place into the console, I pay $59.99 per game and two of them are completely ruined. When I spoke to the customer service representative I was made aware that is not in Microsoft Policy to replace the games that you faulty product has destroyed, I was told I have to contact the makers of the game. This is completely rediculous, if your name is on the product Microsoft should stand behind the product and all of its components. All I would like is the console repaired and the two games that are completly destroyed replaced. I have spent an hour on the phone with you representative and still my issue is unresolved. I will contiue to proceed with every legal action I have to take to get this issue resolved. I do not have $299 to spend for a console then an addition $120 on games for the consule for Microsoft to not stand behind its products. I am completely dissappointed with the service I have received and I will never buy another product that is filtered through Microsoft. I cannot understand how a multi-million dollar company can be so out of touch with the products and consumers which have helped to make Microsoft the millionaires that you are! If I do not recive any correspondece to this matter I will continue to pursue a case in small claims court because this is completely unfair. I dont care who makes the games, because the games were fine upon purchace once they were entered into the game console they were destroyed so Microsoft is 100% responsible! Please contact me in regaurds to this matter!

laser burn
I bought the game 'chronicles of riddick', after playing on the game a few times and i have now got a laser burn not around the disc but across it!! the game will now not play at all!!! and after paying £40 for this game, i took it back to the shop where i purchased the game and theres nothing they can do, and microsoft customer service is a waste of time as you get passed to different people and nothing gets done, i would like to know if anyone can suggest anything else, as i dont want to buy another game and the same thing happen again. Red Ring
My xbox got the red rings about a year after purchase. I took out the extra warranty so I was able to return it to them without paying but they sent me back a refurbished unit which wouldn't turn on at all. Well to make a long story short, I've sent back 4 Xboxes in 1 yr. Each time they sent me a refurbished one and the red ring came back within days. I called and supposedly spoke to a supervisor and told her I do not want refurbished units anymore and to send me a new one. She said they can't send me a new one until I returned the unit over 4x. Well, the 4th unit did not work and now they will not replace it.
Bill Gates should be made aware that this is a piece of crap. If you want to send a petition, count me in!

not reading disc
microsoft could care less about there customers and i think that its time the customers took a stand. we spend thousands of dollars on equpiment and games form a system that was poorly desgined. themn when the system cant handle the constant ammount of playtime that real gamers put it threw it breaks down and MICROSOFT wnats to charge you to fix something that should have been fixed before it left the desging stages. I havew had my system for 1 year and 2 months i got the red ring of death i used the towel method to fix it and now the CD drive has gone out i contacted customer service and was told that i have to pay to fix it this is insane i paied $575 for the Haylo 3 xbox console and have spent $1500 in games and equpiment and now they want me to pay th fix something that should not have broken this soon! I THINK NOT!!! as i i said before it is time that we unite against this growing issue of poor customer service and crapy products how many poeople have bought something and it either dosent do what it was made to do or it breaks. I have an Email account with Yahoo under this name and i think that if enough people get together and threten to sue microsoft they will have to listen to us i know everyone here is tired of being abused by these big companies Email me and if we can get enough people together we can put an end to this.

major malfunction
We bought our son an xbox360 and it worked fine for awhile an then the 3 red lights appeared we asked a game console dealer and they suggested the external fan saying that it was over heating.well that didnt work either!!!
Where do we go or who do we contact about this.I payed to much to start out with and now its broke. Ive been reading all over about this red ring of death. If anyone knows who I need to speak with or mail the console to please comment back

microsoft fails customers
Two weeks ago our Xbox 360 quit working. My son said the picture went all funny, and then the video output just quit worked. Now, when we turn on the xbox 360 the screen is black, with little white dots. The sound works, but no picture.
Our xbox 360's warranty expired in November of last year. However, technically we are only out of warranty a month and a half since it was a Christmas present.
Since this is a known hardware issue, one which has plagued many, many xbox 360 gamers, we contacted the xbox 360 support line. We were informed that because we were out of warranty we'd have to pay over $140, or around $123 if we did an online repair request.
The only way we would be able to get an extended warranty is if we had the three ring of death. So, despite the fact that Microsoft knows about the no video output issue, they refuse to fix it and still continue to sell defective products.
I was told that there was no way for them to fix it for free, which is a complete lie on their part. Most companies, if they have such a wide spread issue, recall their defective products and offer refunds. But, Microsoft continues to siphon money out of their consumers with little or no warning about their product.
So not only did we pay $299 for a product of theirs, they expect us to pay to get a defective product fixed. The supervisor that I spoke with continued to insist there was nothing they could do, but having worked at call centers before I know for a fact anything is possible. They even refused to give a complaint line, which goes to show exactly how many complaints they actually get.
We have been a long time microsoft user. We've used many microsoft computer products, along with the original xbox. The original xbox worked fine for over 5 years and is still running good. Yet, within 13 1/2 months of using the xbox 360, it has already broken down.
We refuse to buy anymore microsoft products, not only because of the 360, but because of their lack of concern and care for their loyal customers. We deserve more.
I am lodging a formal complaint not only here, but at the better business bureau as well. Microsoft needs to get their heads out of the sand and do something.

On-line player card
I purchased an xbox 12-month online card at Walmart for $49.97. By purchasing at Walmart instead of through XBox, I got 13 months for the price of 12. My son scratched off the number on the back of the card on 12/26/08 and processed the on-line membership on-line through the XBox gaming console. on 1/26/09, we had no live playing abilities. I called Microsoft and spent 1 hour and 48 minutes on the phone with 2 different people. They said they had no record of it and I had to spend another $49.99 in order to be able to play on-line. We followed the direction on-line 4 weeks prior, and they said they had no record of it. With Microsoft's technology, I find it hard to believe and also the fact that I would not waste so much time on the phone with Microsoft if I wasn't right. They should have reinstated the 13 months. I have the receipt dated 12/18/08 with the purchase price and XBox card number on the receipt, which apparently doesn't matter to Microsoft. I feel I deserve 13 months of on-line playing capability, since this is what I paid for, twice.

wtf?
wtf.Sending in my xbox 360 for the ( hold on ran out of toes and fingers) for the sixth time and at this point its ridiculous.This time its not the 3 red rings(big surprise had it three times already) and it's not disc read error(2 times).This is a new one.This time its (drum role please) NO DISPLAY! that's right sound but no picture.So naturally I think it has to be either the cable or the t.v it can't be the system right?WRONG!Brought new cables.
Check. Tried it on a t.v.Check.Tried a different device on the same channel.Check.So the last thing to do is call the dreaded 800 number.After 15 minutes of talking to rep who doesn't know right from left they finally decided that it has to be sent in from repairs.Not surprised.You think after 3 years they would get shit right.Boy was i mistaken.I don't know why I expected better from microcrap .
