Eroneous charges to my bank account
Eroneous charges continue to show up on my bank statement. This appears to be coming from Xbox live and no authorization was provided to allow billed charges to my account.

1-month subscription??? HA!!
Do NOT ever give your credit card to XBOX LIVE! EVER. It does not matter if you sign up for a limited liability option (such as a one month subscription). Apparently there is something burried in their "terms and conditions" that you "agree to" when you click the button on your console/tv screen. (Oh, you didn't see the fine print? Ahhh too bad. Yes, it IS unfortunate, but that's the way we do it here at good ol' Microsoft folks.) They will continue to charge your account on a revolving subscription and they will NOT give any refunds. "Good will" does not seem to be a part of their marketing strategy. The worst customer service--really unbelievable. Thank God the whole world doesn't opperate in this sneaky, slippery way.

Family Plan
They have this great family plan and if you want to save money its great. The year subscription are like $59.99 a year but with this plan its $99.99 for 4 accounts a year. While the price is awesome the plan it self is problems. The primary account is the only one wroth having. The other 3 account you can not do the following: 1. buy Microsoft points, 2. download certain kinds of content, 3. control your settings. Those are the top three issues. Now its good if the account belongs to a child, but what if it belongs to an adult. They need to have an option that give the primary a way to give control over to the person who controls the account. For example: My husband has the main account and his 34 I have the 2nd account and I am 36 our son has 1 account and he is 18 and our daughter has the other and she is 14. My account and my son's should not have any of these issues since we are over 18. XBOX NEEDS TO FIX THIS NOW!!!

Threats
On 2/28/11 my son's XBox Live account was suspended indefinitely. The suspension was legitimate based on a mistake that he made; however, it isn't the suspension that irks me -- it is the process that they have for trying to obtain information about a suspension. You cannot speak to anyone directly; instead, you have to log into the Xbox website and submit your inquiry via a public forum. Note - if your original account has been suspended you cannot log into their website using that account ID. You have to create a completely NEW account to complain about an existing account. Once into their site, you have to submit your inquiry to a public forum.
After 2 response from them that were completely canned responses citing their Code of Conduct documentation, I finally asked for the EXACT reason our account had been suspended. Their response included the reason and also a threat that if I continued correspondence with them that my CONSOLE would be banned (which means that we wouldn't even be able to pay for a new Live account because the actual console would be locked out).
I find their approach to be very suspect. First off, it is extremely difficult to even escalate the matter at hand. Secondly, you can't even speak to anyone to 'plead' your case. Lastly, since their word is final, the only way to continue to online gaming experience is to purchase another years subscription (an interesting business model to generate additional income before a users subscription is actually up).
I find my entire dealing w/their support team to be appalling. As of tomorrow we will be dumping our Xbox console and purchasing a brand new PS3. I don't mind spending $400.00 if it means I never have to deal w/the Xbox team again. And, hard as it may be -- I plan to eliminate all Microsoft products where I possibly can! This means goodbye Windows phone, goodbye hotmail account, and goodbye anything else I can dispose of that bears their logo.
Expensive but worth it personally.

My account
I was going to get on my account to play on xbox live and it said it was suspended. It said that i had to change my payment option but my dad's credit card works just fine. Is it if you buy a prepaid card, you cant play because you didn't buy it with the credit card? My grandmother bought me a year on xbox live and now I think that she should get her money back!
