DESTINATION
I tried booking a flight to travel to Basseterre, St. Kitts on February 25th, 2008 through my travel agent Flights Worldwide. On booking the flight, the system showed that there were no available seats to St. Kitts however there were seats to Antigua. The travel agent said that can't be possible because the same flight that arrives in Antigua stops in St. Kitts first. He then called XL Airlines and they told him once I don't mind the increase in price book the flight to Antigua and when I reach at the airport to collect my ticket the changes would be made. On the morning of my departure, the opposite happened, I tried going to different levels to explain to them that I was travelling to St. Kitts for my aunt's funeral and needed to get off the plane in St. Kitts instead of going to Antigua and would have to purchase a ticket to travel back to St. Kitts. They refused to accommodate me in this sense, so much so that the flight attendants were made aware of the situation and they informed me that if I got off the plane I would be arrested. I had to sit on the plane in St. Kitts(where I really wanted to travel to), go to Antigua was unable to get a flight back out to St. Kitts the same evening so I had to overnight in a hotel in Antigua and purchase a ticket to go to St. Kitts on the morning of February 26th. I am very disgusted about this ordeal and would like some sort of satisfaction. I only purchased a one-way ticket to St. Kitts and on my return to England on the 10th March, the attendants at the Airline gave me no trouble to board the flight although my ticket said Antigua. Please advise me on this situation. Thanks
