I feel duped by XMBrands. I responded to their “free” trial offer for “Colopure Cleanse” on 2/11/2010 fully expecting to get a product I could use. Note that the name "XMBrands" does not appear in the product promotions that I responded to.
That evening I received a mysterious email (attached) stating that my Colopure Cleanse order for $0.00 was processed and that my credit card was being charged $3.87 for “Fulfillment”, which I assume is shipping and handling. There was no company name, no contact information, no indication that I was about to be duped into continued purchase of ther product.
On February 22/2010, I received different product in the mail: Sivitrol – which is not what I ordered.
Switch and bait is not my cup of tee, so because of that, I was done with the company and their products.
I wasn’t surprised when I found the charge for $3.87, dated 2/16/2010, on my credit card statement. I was surprised, however when I found the charge for $87.47, dated 2/23/2010 on the statement.
I called their customer (non)service department to find out what this charge was for and was told it was because I neglected to cancel an order (which I didn’t know I had made) within 10 days of my original order of the “free” trial offer, and was told that only $20.00 of the $87.47 could be refunded, which I have yet to see.
I demand that I be refunded the full $87.47. I have filed a complaint with my credit card company. I intend also to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau.
