WHAT A MESS!!! We received our XperienceDays gift card last christmas, and booked the Walking Culinary Tour of OldSan Fransisco for my husbands birthday in February. He took the day off work and we drove 2 hours each way, and arrived at the destination spot at 1:30pm. Check-in was at 1:45, and the tour was to begin at 2pm. We were about 30 minutes early, but there was no tour group, and no guide... until a few minutes after 2:00. The guide (Tom) arrived and told us a Utility Problem was effecting a couple of the destination spots, and he wasn't sure we would be able to go. He suggested we wait 4 hours, and taking a completely different 6pm Chinese Culinary Walking Tour, or we could have a full refund. Then he asked us to wait a few more minutes, while he confirmed the cancellation... and he walked away And at 2:25 he came back to tell us the 2pm tour was completely cancelled, and we confirmed we did NOT want to stay for the optional tour, and we wanted a full refund. He said "Well... sorry, " and we all walked away. My husband and I looked at each other and said "That was just WEIRD!" We also (of course) were charged for a full day of parking in the public parking garage, even though we were only there for 1 hour. This was an awful, disorganized, dissappointing Xperience. The person who gave us the gift card for christmas was upset. And my husband had a Not-So-Special birthday. I can't say I'd recommend this to ANYbody.
