I found a cleaning company, Xtream Cleaning online to spring clean my new apartment for R450.
Arien Dippenaar from Somerset West running the business was 2 hours late, being under pressure as the moving company will be collecting my furniture soon, I welcomed them. On my return feeling sorry for her that will be stuck in traffic and her waiting in her car for me already, I paid her before inspecting my apartment. She guaranteed that she did a great job, she looked trusting and sweet. Alas, on my entering the apartment I noticed the place looked the same, kitchen cupboard glass was dirty, sugar granules in the drawers, dust on the tile edge, dried soap, dusty lights, the list goes on. I phoned her, no answer, I then send text messages – no reply. The next day I realized the Steam Machine I left was missing, phoned her - no answer until the next day. According to her it was an accident and will return it, 2 weeks later her husband, Andre dropped it off at the police station near my apartment. It took several calls, frustration and no response regarding the cleaning complaint. They made my move incredibly dreadful. I feel I wasted R450 and got scammed, not to mention the drama with the steam machine and time wasted. I think people need to know about this woman and her so called cleaning company.
