Unauthorized billing
I received an e-mail from Yahoo Personals to try a 7 day "free pass" with Yahoo Personals. I understood that if I did not cancel before the 7 days, my credit card would be charged. I canceled after 4 days and on the 5th day, the charge went though (the monthly charge) and I was stuck for a whole month that is not in use. When I called, it was pretty much "too bad" and that the free pass was for "new" members only even though it had been over a year since I had subscribed to them. Bad misrepresentation by them and will NEVER use them again.

Fraudulent Charges
I signed up for the 7 day free trial at Yahoo personals and cancelled after 3 days and deleted my profile and was surprised to find they had charged my card $83.94 for 6 months service and I have not been able to contact them as they no longer have an 800 number, I sent 2 emails and never heard back anything . I am filing fraud charges thru the AZ Attorney Generals office.

Unauthorized charges
I canceled my Yahoo Personals account some time ago. Turns out, they’ve been charging me ever since, at a rate of $49.95 per quarter. That’s $200 a year for something I have not used and have no interest in. The last time they sent me an email stating that they were about to renew my subscription, I went in and canceled. I have not received any further such emails from them, yet they have charged me quarterly. As a matter of fact, I had to file an abuse complaint with them 21/2 years ago. The “man” who was contacting me turned out to be a Nigerian Scam [fortunately I’m not gullible enough to have lost any $$$ on that]! It may sound flaky that I did not notice these charges sooner, but I was on “paperless” statements from my credit card, plus I’ve been battling Breast Cancer for several months. Needless to say, I have not been interested in dating since I was diagnosed, and being unable to work, I cannot afford these charges!
When I contacted Yahoo to try to get a refund, I got nowhere with a representative who repeated the same “I’m so sorry/I understand why you’re upset” script over and over again. I am posting this to warn others, as well as to hopefully get some suggestions where to go from here. Maybe a Class Action lawsuit?

FRAUDULENT TRANSACTIONS
My grievous complaint is that Yahoo Personals is automatically deducted each and every month from my account unauthorized charges subsequent to having canceled my membership four months ago.
Since there are no live persons to address this fraudulent transaction, I will take this to the Attorney General. I demand proper restitution of ALL unauthorized charges be credited back to my credit card, and prohibit any further transactions.
If you have any timely suggestions before I present my case to the Attorney General, it will be most appreciated.
This is, at best, a bold-faced fraudulent scheme on the part of Yahoo personals. The fact that they have no live person answerable for their actions is proof definitive of their shabby operation. They do, however, feel "justified" in making the monthly withdrawals from my account after I gave them notification of my cancellation.
Hope to hear from you at your earliest convenience.

Terrible customer service!
I have been trying to cancel for a week and they just waste your time with messages about temporary problems. No number to call and no customer service at all.

Lack of customer service!
I agree with the previous complaint I read about the serious lack of customer service at Yahoo Personals. Their website is severely lacking in help. Any time you use a link to obtain information, you are sent back to the original help page. It's called non-information loop hell! I don't believe they want to answer their customer's questions with the hopes that the customer will get frustrated and give up, thereby allowing Yahoo Personals to continue to screw them out of their money. Why else would they refuse to offer some type of customer service!
