Aggressive phone calls
I have had a few calls from this company, but the last two upset me. The first one was yesterday lunchtime, and I asked them what they were ringing about, as I'd never heard of them, and how had they got my number. I was told that they were financial advisors and that I was entitled to a refund. Thay claim to have got my number from a "fruit survey". I told them I did not require their services, that I was registered with the TPS and not to call me again. They hung up. I have never done a fruit survey, and I object to being lied to! The second call came in the evening, and I asked why were they calling, and they replied it was about a refund, to which I replied that I had already requested they dont call me again, and how did they get my number, the reply to which was "the Ministry of Finance" passed your details to us! I said that I was registered with the TPS so they should not be calling me, to which they replied, "it only applies to sales people, and as were are not sales people, we are allowed to call you!" I was a bit concerned at the guy's tone, so I said I was'nt happy with what he was telling me, and I did'nt want them phoning me, and he raised his voice over mine and said " Why dont you just be quiet and listen? Do you know what we actually do? Do you know about our services?" I said I wanted to be put through to customer services, and he hung up? I did 1471 to obtain their number, and called them back, and a man answered, and I requested to speak to a member of management, and was told none were available, so I requested the most senior member of staff, to be told there was no one, and was I a customer, to which I replied no, but I've had an aggressive phone call and I want to complain, to which he replied, unless I was a customer, no one could help me, and I said I dont believe that, the phonecalls were unsolicited, and he told me to shut up, and if I raised my voice again, he would cut me off! I cannot belive they are allowed to ring people up and talk to them in this way? I have sent a complaint to the TPS, but I really feel they should be investigated, because what if they ring up someone elderly or vunerable?

WITHOUT NOTICE MONEY DEDUCTED FROM MY ACCOUNT
Hello Team,
I applied for loan to Yes Loans company,
I filled out all the agreement forms with my debit card details to get this process rolling.
Note : The day when i applied, loan one of my friend suggested me you won’t get any loan, Yes Loan company will charge you some processing fee, then straight away i called to company and said please stop processing loan, I don’t want to lose my hard earned money. I told many times do not charge from my account, as i am student i was trying to get loan for university fees.
However, I never received my loan and don’t received any official letter from Yes Loan company. I even don’t know loan reference number and £69.50 deducted from my account on 3rd June 2011, so when tried phoned to get a refund for my admin fee, I am not getting any respond.
I am very much disappointed and so worried about my £69.50.
Please help me to refund my money back to my bank account.

Regards

Dear Sir/madam

Ref: 71660946

I am writing with complaint to the treatment I received from Yes Loans. Take note of the following:

1. I was charged a fee of £69.50 for the service of a finance broker, to which I did not even complete an application.

2. The staff at Yes Loans Ltd are not only unprofessional but extremely rude & unhelpful.

On 18th May 2011 at approx 12:50pm Michael from Yes Loans Ltd called me on my mobile to ask if I would be interested in applying for a loan. I agreed but said I didn’t have much time & was assured it wouldn’t take long. After taking a few details Michael asked for my debit card details to check against the credit reference database. I gave the details to him and was assured no money would be taken from my card. Michael then told me congratulations you have been approved for a loan of £10, 000 & he would put me through to Customer care team to complete the application.
I was put through to Gaby from Customer Care at approx 1:05pm, she proceeded with the loan application & informed me that it would look better on my credit reference if Yes Loans loaned me £200 to start with instead of the full £10, 000 to prove that I am good at paying back loans.
I did not like this idea as I have never heard of this procedure and it was at this point I said I do not wish to continue, I also asked Gaby is this general practice of all loan companies, to which her attitude changed and became very rude and said I can’t speak for any other company. I double checked with Gaby that no money would be coming off my card & that all my details would be deleted, she said no money would be taken of the card but she couldn’t delete the details. I asked to speak to a manger as I didn’t appreciate her aggressive behaviour, she told me that there were none available to speak to me.
I would advise that you listen to the telephone conversation as proof of how rude & incompetent your staff are. Customer Care team is a great misrepresentation of your staff.

On 21st May 2011, I checked my bank account and noticed that Yes Loans had taken out £69.50 on 20th May 2011 even though I was assured by staff no money would be taken.
I rang Yes Loans and spoke to Eric. I explained the way I had been treated by Yes Loans & told him no money should have left my account due to no application even being completed. I asked Eric if I could speak to a manager, to which he replied there was no manager available to speak to me, I questioned why there was never any managers available, Eric then changed his attitude and became rude. He told me if I write a letter of complaint I would get my money back.
Again I would advise that you listen to the telephone conversation as proof of how rude & incompetent your staff are. Customer Care team is a great misrepresentation of your staff
I am disgusted with Yes Loans Ltd & the fraud you have committed but just taking money straight out of my account without consent.
I have already complained to Watchdog & to Trading Standards about your unprofessional behaviour, if you do not respond to my complaint & refund my £69.50 within the 8 weeks, I will take this to Financial Ombudsman Service & will seek Legal advice.

Yours sincerely

money
I also applied for a loan with yes loans and paid £69.95 broker fee, after the first offer of a loan with extortionate rates I cancelled, I put it in writing and heard nothing so I rang them and asked for my refund even then the lad on the phone was trying to persuede me to take a loan out, i refused and told him I wanted my money back, and that a newspaper had been in touch with me regarding Yes loans and if they did not wish me to bad mouth them then to send my refund, I got a cheque 5 days later, so for anybody having problems with this company just threaten them with the papers, Good Luck

refund
I applied for a loan just over a month ago, at the end of the phone call he told me they are taking 69.50 off me for admin. if i changed my mind within 14 days i would receive a full refund. two days later i changed my mind i rang up and was told i had to write a letter and would receive the money back in my account within thirty days. This is a load of utter pants. It is now thirty two days since they received letter. I have just spoken to a man and he said they are now sending me a cheque which i wont receive until AFTER the bank holiday weekend! I will never use this company again!

unauthorised admin charge
I applied for a loan with yes loans, they appeared to be a loan company. I didnt continue with the loan because of the high interest rate and I had to provide a guarantor. The guy talked at lightening speed and I didnt understand much of what he said. I was then passed to someone else who was going on about putting money in my bank and i paid it back when I got paid. Once I clocked what he was on about I said no at least a dozen times to this loan. He said it would give me credibility when applying for the main loan. The loan was called a pay day loan. Even though I told him I didnt want this loan he still went ahead and processed it and sent me three emails asking me to sign electronically and the payday loan would be put in my bank within 24 hours. Eventually the emails stopped but then the phone calls started nearly every day they would call asking me to complete the payday loan. Today the admin charge was taken out of my bank without me knowing. I tried disputing it with my bank but they couldnt help. I called Yes loans and once again they totally confused me. Everything I disputed they had an answer for. They said I had to write to them to cancel the loan which I had never asked for. I have done this recorded delivery and asked for a refund for the amount taken. they said they would check the recording of my original conversation (do companies actually record conversations for quality and 'training purposes') I very much doubt it. They said it could take 30 days to issue me with a refund. I have given them 14 days to respond.

Unauthorized Fee
I called this company "Yes Loans" to inquire about their student loans. They asked for my bank account information saying that I will be charged an administration fee if I choose their services. I gave them my banking info. The next day I received an application form which I was supposed to sign to authorize them to take the administration fee from my banking account.

I put the application form away as I had plenty of time before I needed the loan. A week later I received another letter from Yes Loans congratulating me in getting the loan. The letter also stated that the fee was deducted from my account! I contacted my bank and they confirmed this.

It's outrageous. I hope nothing like this will happen to everyone who reads this.

Broker fee's
I wanted to try and get a loan, but due to a bad credit history was unable to go down the normal bank route. I contacted Yes Loans about 7 months ago and they said they could help me. After taking some details from me, a few days laters I recieved a letter from them with a form to complete. They asked me to supply my debit card detail to take the broker fee for their services. This was £69.50, which they took the following week. I waited a coupe of weeks and heard nothing, so tried to call them and was put throught to their customer services number and there I waited for 30 mins!
It has been 7 months since I paid the fee and still am unable to speak to anyone from Yes loans, they actually rang and asked me if I was interested in their services, when I told them I was already a customer, they put me through to their customer department and there, once again I waited and waited.
In the mean time I contacted the trading standards office and was given some very useful information and advice. Before I wrote to yes Loans, I decided to try one more time to contact them via the phone.. I got through to the main sales number and tried to explain to a member of their staff about my situation and the fact I had been trying to contact them for a couple of months. I mentioned that I had been in the Tading Standards and was told in a very rude way, that he was interested in who I had been in contact with and hung up!!
I called back and spoke to a very nice lady, who put me through to the customer services dept straight away and was told that I needed to apply in writing for my money back. Of which I have done and will now have to wait to see if I get my money back.
This companies web site looks so professional and helpful, I would not advise anyone to use them The trading standards seem to be familar with them.. and I also found out the they have been on the BBC Watchdog programme in 2008.
It seems I'm not alone in having dealing with this company.
