I purchased a Yorkie from a breeder in Alabama and I have concerns.
The breeder and I corresponded via email for a couple of weeks and then my fiance and I went to pick up my new puppy. When it came time to go thru the paperwork the breeder had the parents name wrong(different than what she told me in an email). She then revised the paperwork and said she would be sending me the registration papers in the mail, they are coming from Germany. I have been waiting for weeks and still no response. She said it takes awhile.

My concern is that I dont have a registered dog yet paid for one. My puppy is not from Germany nor are her parents.I questioned her about it and she said "one" of her females is registered as a Breiwer-when I questioned her and said that the puppuy she sold me was not a Breiwer, then why would she need to get papers from Germany, she did not respond to the email. Is this a common scam and what is my recourse?
