Dishonest and illegal
My first experience with this office was for a root canal. It cost almost $900 and I was told I would not need a crown. Once the procedure was done I was told I would in fact need a crown which would be another $8-$900. I paid for 1/2 of the procedure on the day it was done but could not afford to pay for all of it so they took an imprint of my debit card to charge a week later. I realized I would not have enough to make the payment and called to reschedule. I was told they would charge my DEBIT card(this comes right of my account-the money I have to live on)on Dec.5. I made arrangements to have the money I needed in the account by that date. They then charged my card on the 1st of Dec. -one day before my husband got paid- which I think is illegal since that was not the date I authorized. Because they did this I had to scramble to pay other bills as best I could and was not able to pay some. When I called to see why they had not honored our agreement all the office manager had to say was "sorry". She informed me that she could credit it back but would then have to turn around a charge it again-NOT THE POINT! The point was, they did not have permission to charge my account on that date. I had made arrangements around the assumption that the payment would be made on the 5th of December. Remember, this is Christmas time!! This is a very dishonest way to do business if you ask me and I will make sure no one I know has to be treated this way by this office.
