On 20 October I noticed a charge on my phone bill for Bridal Couture from www.ylsonline.com (Your Local Services Online - 1-800-511-0812 Customer Service, Your Local Services Online, LLC.1602 Alton Road, #67 Miami Beach, FL 33139) for $39.95. I had no idea who this was or why I was being charged. I called Qwest and asked about the charge. They told me that they could not help me and that I would have to contact the billing party directly - they were just the "middleman" - the third party biller. I then called www.ylsonline.com and asked them about the charge. "Glenda" told me that they had spoken to a Monica R (my wife) on the phone and that she had authorized the charges if we did not cancel the online service within 14 days. I know that neither myself or my wife fall for these scams so I told her that they did NOT speak to my wife and that I wanted them to stop the service and credit me for the charges. She said that she would not and told me that she had an audio recording of the conversation. I immediately ask to listen to it and she obliged. I listed to the entire recording and it was definitely NOT my wife. I will give them credit that they at least found someone that has an accent similar to my wife’s (she is from Alabama). I then called Monica and had her call in and listen to the recording as well. The lady that was on the recording didn’t even do her homework well enough to get my wife’s birth date correct. She told the lady that it was not her and that we would be reporting this company and filing a formal complaint.
I then called Qwest back and told them what transpired. They had no problems whatsoever giving me the credit and simply wanted to leave it at that. I asked them if they were going to quit billing for this company because it was a complete fraud. They said, "no, by law we have to bill for them if they ask us to". This to me seems absolutely absurd. Can someone please check out this company and shut them down? It is as fraudulent as fraudulent gets!!
