damages
On Friday November 20 I dropped my new 2009 GMC off to have it undercoated at 5:00 pm so they could wash and have it dry to undercoat Saturday morning. The truck had less than 400 km on it as I had just purchased it 3 days prior and wanted to get it sealed before it had dirt on the undercarriage. The truck was ready to pick up Saturday at around 1:00 pm, I picked it up and it was a bit wet out that day and they told me to not drive it to much until it set up some, so I drove the truck straight home with is about 20km away from there and parked it in my garage. The next day I had to run to the store so I drove the truck and turned on my wipers as there was some dirt on the window. I heard an odd sound as the wipers passed over the window, there was little bits of contaminates stuck to the window, which would not wash off, after examining them I picked a couple of them off as they were little hard pieces embedded in the windshield. After picking some off the left pits in the windshield I was not impressed, if it was one or two I would not worry about it but there are numerous pieces embedded in the windshield, similar to rock pits but they are not. I called and left a voice mail for them to call me Monday morning which they did and I agreed to stop by on my way home from work so they could inspect the glass as they thought it was over spray but it was not. They told me they did not know how it happened. I don't know how it did either but I told them the glass was not like that when i dropped the truck off there on the Friday night. It happened while the truck was in there possession and I wanted the glass replaced as this truck is less than a week old. They basically said was not there problem and they had no idea how it happened. Almost looks like they were grinding something while my truck was in the there shop and the hot pieces hit my windshield.
