This company has great food, but they are seriously challenged with their service and operations. They have an online delivery service which tells you when to expect the order. My time was 45 minutes. The first time I ordered, I got a call 10 minutes later asking me a question about my order. As she's hanging up the phone, she says, "okay, that will be an hour and 15 minutes." So, since it was 10 minutes later, instead of the time being 45 minutes, it's 85 minutes...and I already paid the delivery fee and 20% tip. So, I tell her to cancel it--I'll call a different place. Suddenly, she can get it to me in an hour. I say, no--that's okay. I'm already turned off. Then, she says, okay, 45 minutes. It seemed really odd to me--like we were negotiating delivery time rather than them delivering it as fast as they could.
I gave them a 2nd chance because the I liked their menu. I place my order for delivery and I get a call from them. She tells me they can't deliver but I can pick it up. I had already paid for delivery and tip. I ask if she will refund, and she said it would be too hard to do that--I can get cookies instead. Really? I tell her to cancel it and refund my money. I tell her I don't understand why they have a delivery system if they aren't delivering. She says, we do deliver--but not right now. Nobody orders at this time of day, so why should we? Really? I just ordered.
I used their website to complain and their owner, Dennis, left me a message telling me to call him at the store. I call 2 x, but that girl won't let me talk to him. I call the next day and, thank goodness, someone else answers and lets me speak to him. He tells me all of his employees give great service and that I just like to complain. I gave him specific examples of bad service and he said it was "my opinion." I also told him that I never got a refund--and he said, "oh well." I told him that I'd file a complaint with the State Attorney General if he didn't refund it and he said, "go right ahead." Then, he says, "Hey, if you ever need anything, call someone else." Nice guy, that Dennis.
So, I filed a complaint with the State AG and zpizza's corporate office. They say I will get my refund, but, it's been 3 business days and I still haven't. This owner is a real jerk and just really arrogant and sarcastic. I can't believe how hard I had to work to get a refund.
