On October 16, 2008 I ordered the Baby Einstein 26 DVD Gift Set from Club Members Direct. I paid $54.95 for the set plus $6.95 for shipping (total of $61.90). They gave me confirmation order number A1471680A7, but they did not mention when would it be shipped. I have not received my order yet (11/07/2008). I have been calling several times to the 1-800-716-1970 number that appears in their website, but nobody answers the phone. On 11/3, this company ran an electronically-generated paper check for $34.95 through my account. It cleared overnight on 11/5. The address they printed on it was over three years old. They used a random six-digit check number which of course had no relation to any check number I've ever had. I never joined the Columbia House Video Club and my debit Visa has never left my wallet except when I use it to swipe. My account was debited for DVDs so I called the company and several were sent on a new account. Oddly, the DVDs, which are still in the mail, are being sent to my personal U.S. Post Box. I was scheduled to have new TV and Internet installed on Monday the 3rd. I took a half day off from work as I was told my appointment was scheduled in the morning. Today a manager allowed an employee to walk away from me without serving me because I had reported her for bad service. You don't give customers bad soda over and over again then stop serving them everytime they come back. Last staw! I requested a refill and the employee walked away and asked the manager (Stacey) to help me. The manager would not tell me why the employee would not serve me and I told her that that was bad customer service and employees should not be allowed to disregard a request made by a customer. I asked an employee about the new game, Resistance Fall of Man 2, before buying it. I asked if the campaign mode was 2 player and with out hestitating he responded yes. So I went and spent over $60.00 on the game. I got home and of course only one player and play the campaign. I called the manager and explained and he refused to give me my money back. I purchased this software at a very high price of $14, 000. After almost a year of extensive training and trading with the software, and after having lost a lot of money, we finally gave up on it. I recently had a buyer for this software at a much lower price than I paid for it. I joined City Club Casino, made a deposit, won some cash on roulette, but when I tried to withdraw they sis I'd been playing a non-allowed game and I was only allowed to play non-progressive slot games. They voided my winnings so I complained vigorously. They then told me I could play any games I wished, but my voided winnings would not be reinstated. I agreed to order a magazine from a girl who was trying to get points toward a trip. She told me that I could order, give her the check, then cancel my order (by following the instructions on the back of my receipt) and my money would never be taken. First, my wife has dementia and is not supposed to respond to "offers". Allegedly my wife "joined" this group. She apparently paid $30 of $300 fee. Yesterday I received a call from a collection agency that we owed $270. This is the first I knew of this. Collection agency had no phone # for the company. Their website has no phone #. I want to talk with a real person about it. My wife has no recollection of receiving anything (although she may have) or of "joining".
