We have lived at our home for exactly one year. On 8/29 I go get the mail and am suprised to find 2 water bills in our box. One is addressed to us, one is adressed to another couple with our mailing address. Our bill says credit balance do not pay. Subsequent examination reveals that our deposit of 150.00 we put up a year ago has been applied towards our bill. Ok, no problem...it has been a year of uninterrupted service and no late payments and I see that they are refunding this amount as promised. My parents received a call from CRS asking for me by my former name regarding a debt from over 10 years ago which by Missouri Statute of Limitations is non-collectible. They threatened to contact the IRS and attach my tax refund which I'm not sure a collection agency can do. Never heard this one before. On December 21'st 2010 I contacted the company to have my billing date changed from the 1st of every month to the 21st of each month. Here is the confusing part; my monthly statements from the company clearly state that my regular payment due date is on the 21st as I had requested however, according to "their system" my billing due date is still set for the 1st?! Do not use Helping Hands to help you receive free pharmaceuticals. The drug companies offer assistance for free. The only thing Helping Hands does is help you out of your money. they set you up with a monthly fee. Then they're supposed to get all the medications you need. Why is it that every time there is a fare hike, I notice how nasty bus drivers and MTA train booth attendants are? Bloomberg has some nerve giving into their demands. For a department that basically controls New York City, its HR departments don't really give them correct training for interacting with the public. They served me a Spicy Sausage Pasta with a cockroach last March 7, 2011 in their Shopwise Commonwealth branch. It was a very humiliating moment. I have eaten about half of the food already when I noticed that there was a roach. I had to go to the public restroom to throw up the dish served to me. This company has very misleading adds. They promise a free trial for shipping charges only, then automatically charge for the product- including the "free" trial on the credit card. They use the information given to pay for the shhipping and then add automatic payment to your credit card. Paid $250 for service contract. Salesman said this was best way and that I could cancel at any time. He described how and where they would spray. Never ever EVER use this company. I used them on 2/21/11. Picked the bounce house up on a Saturday night with my sister. Lou loaded the bounce house, blower, and extension cord into the back of the truck after telling us he had just had a long drive back after picking it up from another family, and took us inside to sign the contract. I had to change an expensive shirt that bled the color when washed. The store refused to give me a refund but gave me only a credit to buy another shirt. The second shirt also bled and now I had to exchange it for one white shirt in the hope that it will not bled but I will never buy again from Polo Ralph Lauren and recommend everybody never buy from that store. On December 6, 2010, I placed an electric Sears range on layaway. We went and picked it up on December 20. We connected it and it kicked the breaker off, we checked the wiring, which was find. We bought a whole houseful of Mohawk engineered hardwood flooring from Lowe's. It is horrible. Color coming off the edges. Top layer is lifting in places. The boards don't reach edges of the walls or doors in places. We have dogs and they scratch it even though I trim and file their nails every monday. Heaven forbid you drop something or spill liquid.
