Deceptive Business Practice
Deceptive business that automatically signs consumers up for renewal charges and buries the clause deep within its "Term of Agreement" legal jargon. Refuses to provide person-to-person contact information to discuss complaint, refuses to acknowledge consumer dissatisfaction, refuses to refund charges.

Does not refund
I have signed up for the 7 day free trial period. It was said that they wouldn't be deducting anything from my bank account within those 7 days. I even saved the email, but yet the moment I had put in my credit card I was deducted of $14.95 for something I have no clue or recognition of.
The only reason I signed up was to find old classmates. It has said that someone was looking for me and that they had sign my guestbook. The only way to look at my guestbook was to sign up for the Gold Membership. I did the free trial. Not even a day has passed since my 7 day free trial, I did not get an email regarding anything to say that my free trial was up, not even one notice of them taking and charging me for my 14.95 also.
I checked my bank account again and I a pending for $39.00 was being withdrawn from me. I had gone and logged myself into the classmates account and deleted all of my credit card information. I had emailed them an email regarding this matter of this fraudulent scam that they are doing. I have not recieved a reply from them yet.

Online scam
The only thing good from this web site, was finding an old class mate from third grade. I was looking a my bank statement back in Oct 08 and saw a transaction that looked fishy. I called the 800 number to see who they where and they said that they got my card number when I signed up with classmates.com. I told them to return the $13.00 or I'd report them to the Oregon attorney generals office. I then canceled my bank card.

Often if one types in the name of a school (eg Delmar Harvard, St. Louis} one is presented with a link to classmates.com.

IT IS IMPOSSIBLE WITHOUT DISCONNECTING THE COMPUTER . THIS COMPANY'S PRESENCE IS ALL OVER THE PLACE TOO!!!

Unauthorized billing
For the 3rd time this year Classmates.com has made a $15.00 charge to my credit card. I'm forced then to call the credit company and stay on the line for long periods, speaking to several people just to get them to mail me the forms to contest the charge. Then I have to take the time to fill out the form and pay the postage to send it back only to wait over a month to get the charge off my credit card. This SCAM organization possibly feels that most folks wont take that much time and effort over such a charge, BUT I WILL.

Fraud charges
This company changed the expiration date on my Mastercard and did not reveal that the card was being saved for auto-renewal. When I tried to get it off my card (within 10 days of the charge) they would not answer beyond a generated e-mail that they send for cancellation. My card was charged without my knowing it and it created a $39.00 over the limit charge, as well.
Horrible!!

Money not returned after cancellation
I visited their site through classmates.com, curious to see what they were about. I didn't sign up for anything, yet I looked on my online bank statement only to find a $19.95 pending charge to my account from them! I went through the cancellation process and never even received a response!
