Bought a 2005 Town and Country van. Within one year it needed new power steering rack, which was leaking and would not pass inspection. Dealer says not covered, will be 1000.00. I checked online, looks like hundreds of people have had this problem due to defective original power steering rack. Chrysler has not recalled yet, but they did redesign part since. They will not cover their defective parts- do not buy Town and Country minivans before 2010. I had a break down on I95 in Greenwich, CT last week. I called AAA and soon, the tow truck came. The vehicle was towed to Riverside Service in Cos Cob, CT. As I was enroute from Cape Cod to NJ for a funeral, and would have to hop a train to two subway lines through NYC, followed by another train, I decided to only take what I absolutely needed for the weekend. I order a set of 24 inch KMC wheels for the asking online price of $113 a piece. I had the store manager call me today stating he couldn't honor that price and will be refunding the money. I check the website and the wheels still show up for that price. I was very dissapointed how this was handled as I heard they where a great company. I was thinking of doing some future business with them but I am no longer interested in dealing with them. This company is out to get you for whatever they can get. I told the man at least 25 times that I have just rexntly became where I can't work anymore because of health problems. He kept on and on and told me that I needed the extar coverage. I told him that I had NO income coming in and to cancel the policy. I could not afford it. Pep Boys on Admiral & Memorial kept my car for two days while trying to fix my brakes that normally takes about an hour and half. They said they would call me when it was ready. They never called, I had to call them. Once I got to the store two days later, the manager Paul Frailey said sorry we forgot your car was on our lift. FOR TWO DAYS!. On February 2, 2010 my husband, Joe Kurtz, took my 2003 Pontiac Montana van to C. Harper for their complimentary oil change and oil filter. That was fine. He was told it need a "RR HUB BEARING ASSEMBLY" at a cost of $657.76 for GM parts or $425.99 for after market parts. He was also told it needed rear brakes at a cost of $172.00. Racetrac is usually one of my favorite gas and convenience store combos but one employee can ruin that. I've learned to put up with rudeness, usually can't get away from it in these kinds of industries. Saturday nite/Feb 6, I stopped in to pick up a few things. I went to Concorde motors, Dairy circle, Bangalore and booked a Indica Vista on 21st od Jan making a down payment of Total cost - Loan amount which was 81000 Rs. I bought a used vehicle from Sherwood Park Toyota that turned out to be something completely different from what the sales representative said. The biggest surprise was the transmission. They told me it was a 6 speed (this model came standard with a 6 speed), but upon driving it home it was a 5 speed!!! Their "inspection" even missed a burnt out headlight!! Besides the misrepresentations, their service was terrible. When they say they will return your call, it might be in 4 hours, the next day, or not at all. 2007 Toyota Prius with 24, 000 kms (about 15, 000 miles) - when braking (at any speed) over gravel, bumps, potholes, puddles, ice or any object, the vehicle lurches forward and seems to accelerate briefly before the brakes kick in. This is a constant, daily issue... not a one time occurrence. Toyota company has claimed that it's a result of a pause from when the standard hydraulic brakes switch over to the electronic braking system. This company is a total ripoff! We had the contract for 3 months with them at the time of a breakdown. The internal lubricated part in the transfer case came loose, and as stated all internally lubricated parts are supposedly covered. when we waited for authourization the claims manager denied coverage saying we should of heard a noise and we were neglegent? kragen sells used oil drain pans you can bring back to their store and dump the old oil. I bought 3 and saved my used oil for a year. When I took them in they told me I could only dump 2 per day. I said that's ridiculous. You want me to make another trip tomorrow to dump the third? The guy told me he was doing me a favor by letting me dispose of the old oil. I told him you're not doing me any favors by making me come back tomorrow. I bought 3 containers with the understanding I could fill them with my old oil and dump them here.
