I have taken my 1998 Dodge truck to Carson ServiCenter for over a year now for the same ongoing problem. I have paid them over $2, 000.00 dollars to fix this problem. Took my car in for diagnostics due to a 'clicking' noise when starting my car. Just had my alternator replaced and battery was about four months old. After running diagnostics they determined that my battery was the problem. They offered to sell me a new battery for 200.00 PLUS the 85.00 for the diagnostics. I am formally complaining because this man refused to back up his work. He was given $470 for a brake job on my vehicle. We took our 93 Lumina in to the garage because our rear driver side wheel seemed to be dragging a bit at times. We went to Universal Car Care because it was close, not because we had been there before. We just didn't feel that the car should be driven across town due to brake problems. I brought my 2008 car into the service department for an emissions related smog test failure. Since my fairly new I told the service writer that it should be under warrenty. He agreed. Later that day I received a call expecting to have the problem repaired for free. Instead I was told that there was nothing wrong and I owed $97 for a diagnostic fee. I was not told that this fee had to be paid on a car under warrenty. The general manager and service department have not been helpful in listening to my complaint and can care less about me as a customer. I purchased a vehicle from them July 11, 2008; 28 days later the engine blew, leaving me stranded on the side of the highway. I had to have vehicle towed, Wing Auto later towed it to their location where it still sits. I pay weekly payments as the car was financed through another company and I don't want my credit ruined over this. Here I sit over a year later with no vehicle but paying weekly payments. The company does not have a problem taking your vehicle information over the phone, however I can tell you that this company will take you through serious changes to cancel and stop payments. Please be aware if you want to cancel with this company you will need to write cancel on the policy, with the odometer reading and have it notarized and mailed until than they will continue to take your money for a policy you have verbally canceled.
