I bought a curling iron in October 2010. I got an extended protection plan (which was a waste). The curling iron broke and it is only 6 months old. The cord is bad and the unit keeps shutting off. I called to have it repaired. It cost $29.99 to buy. They want me to pay the shipping to return it to Arizona and also pay for the return shipment. I was offered a job by one of these "companies" and immediately became suspicious after the "recruiter" said that he was going to mail me a check and wanted me to send cash to a "software" company to purchase software for at home training. We purchased a bicycle on a Friday evening at 8:00 p.m. We placed the pre-assembled cycle in a truck bed and transported it to our home. Years of paying for insurance in case of disability. Cigna paid the short term disability but when it turned into long-term, they terminated the long-term at the first follow up. Even though Social Security found permanent disability, CIGNA knows better and terminated payments. Reason? The mental health clinician used the term stable in her confidential medical records (stable in this case meant condition quit deteriorating when employment stopped) and a note indicating 8 hours of volunteering A MONTH!
