Lakai is my favorite brand of shoes, and normally their products always meet expectations. However, I recently owned a pair of the Rick selects, and although they were comfortable and good for skateboarding, they wore out extremely fast. In around a month and a half, the seam near the toe had split on both shoes, the lace (supplied with shoe) had broken, and a hole was nearly worn in the side. Lakai is a skate shoe company, so they obviously know skateboarding puts wear and tear on shoes.
