On December 31 we checked into The Serrano Hotel near Union Square and put our car in a garage through their valet parking service. I had been forced to change my flight multiple times with each time paying a penalty for the change. This happened until I realized when I could not choose the dates I wanted even though they were just a couple of weeks out.
