I am just beginning with a possible problem. I have placed an order with this company on Jan. 19 2009. When I sign into my account it states that no orders were placed, however my credit card shows a pending charge of $245.00. I have e-mailed them to cancel the order but with order number to reference I feel like I am just out of luck and $245.00. Reverse Phone Detective is a TOTAL SCAM. They lure you in by saying you'll have unlimited searches for one year. Then when trying to do a search, they will require you to buy tracer report credits (at $9.95 per credit). I tested it on my own home phone (a land line) and it told me it was unpublished (it's not), but to find out more, I could buy tracer credits and they'd be happy tell me more. I was online 4 days before Valentines day looking a nice flower arrangement for my wife. I see the website for goflorist.com and find a $70 that looks great and I think my wife will be happy to see arrive for her. I won't do any more orders here... I've done many, and while they lure you into spending a bit more to get that free shipping, it takes forever for them to ship. Not convenient when you're running low on drugstore items. Then, within hours of placing your order, they make sure that you cannot cancel it because it is "processing". I just found an ad on facebook and because the story sounded quite genuine and I'm very vunerable right now as most people are with the credit crunch I completed the online form and hit the submit botton. Ordered from DigitalCraze on Nov. 2 then called back 20 minutes later to cancel the order. The customer service rep said that is fine and my credit card wouldn't be charged. 4 days later the package shows up at my door and I refuse the package. I have had an unbelievably frustrating experience with Fanworks; I sincerely question their status as a business, and not a scam organization. My story is that I ordered a fan on May, 19, 2008. Purchased a $138.00 tool for a Christmas gift on-line in November. Found out on Christmas the I had bought the wrong tool. The following day I contacted the company on-line to find how to return the item and exchange it for the correct one. Company issued me an RMA number and I returned it via insured USPS the same day.
