I have been a Dish Customer for about 8 years. The first 6 were not bad, a couple of issues, but resolved to my satisifaction. The nightmares started 11-08 when my wife asked to the ability to record TV programs. I updated to a new receiver with record function, as well as upping service to include HD reception. I have invested in La Hoya Bay Residence, Al Marjan Island Project in Ras Al Khaimah (RAK) in the UAE. RAKIA, the state controlled construction company is the master developer responsible to deliver the apartments to investors. So far, they are unable to settle legal issues with a private developer "Frank Khoie". Investors are held hostage here. RAKIA can't be trusted. Their leader Sheikh "Ass" can't be trusted either. I had moved into a nice little 1 1/2 bedroom apt. on january 1. I had gotten the power turned on through georgia power. I was seldom home 3-4 days a week with no heat on, 3lightbulbs in the apt. and everything else runs on gas. My first bill was almost $400. completly incorrect I am also a part time electrician and I calculated the kilowatt hours of all appliances in the home. I purchased a gateway MX8711 in Aug of 07. I started having problems with laptop shorty after the 1yr warranty expired. At the 1yr, I contacted Gateway and as to purchased an extented warranty. I bought a Dell PC from Best Buy and the hard drive failed in less than two months. On returning to BB I found that they only covered the first 30 days and that I would have to contact Dell. Dell is now sending me a new drive. They use Seagates, which are not a very good drive, IMHO. I am wondering if it's just the Best Buy Dells which are now cheaply made and no longer high quality, or are all Dells this way? I will not deal with Best Buy again, nor will I buy a Dell. We bought a HP TV 52 inch about 3 years ago. The bulb has blown at least 3 times. They were initially good about fixing the problem and the last thing they did was actually replace the TV with a refurbished one. It worked about 5 months and the bulb blew again! Well, I went to work for these guys a couple of weeks ago, although the guys on "Greensheet" (trade mag) told me not to. Well, the guys were right. Applebees is not only ridiculous, it is a hazard to the health of its customers. They have a bar in the middle of the restaurant in which people are exhaling clouds of smoke, and then also in half of the restaurant. Then they ask you, "smoking or non-smoking?" Are you stupid?! So we are seated in a non-smoking section and then right next to us (literally only a wall with poles separates us) a couple is smoking. And so then everyone else not smoking is also at risk for developing lung cancer and asthma attacks. So STUPID. Get smart and put up a wall that smoke can't go through at least. read full review »

I tried calling the repair center but keep getting a recorded message that they have a high call volume and to try again later or some other day.
