I am a new customer to Direct Tv. I was sick and tired of Comcost high cost. Switched to direct tv based on their $29.99/month solicitation. Howver since I have switched to Direct Tv it been nothing but hassel. You have to submit a request for rebate. It takes 6 to 8 weeks !!! to process your rebate. Classmates.com, now MemoryLane.com, has charged my credit card $59 for an "automatic renewal" to which I never agreed. I purchased a lifetime membership -- a "Gold" membership -- a couple of years ago, believing I'd never see another charge. I found the service basically useless after a few months, and have not used it for about a year. I would never have signed up had I been told that a) the "lifetime membership" was not a lifetime membership; b) the cost was $59 every two years; and c) renewal was automatic. James Scott called me a few months ago claiming he was the ADA from the calif office and that I was under investigation from bank fraud made by chase manhantten bank. He gave me a lot of my personal information over the phone including my ss# so it sound real to me and he scared me to death! On 22 December 2010 we cancelled the minibus (Tony from LC Van Rental's suggestion) because they could only offer us a 7-seater van as the 9-seater were "snowed in at Manchester" and we wanted collection of the 9-seater in Wakefield. We contacted Pinnacle Law Firm to give us a loan modification as my husband just got on disability. They reassured us that we woul have this loan modification and that all we needed to do was to pay them $500 for the next 3 months.
