I have bought several RC Airplane products from Horizon Hobby. It use to be a place that give great "customer service after the sale"...however...this has changed. This is a nightmare of a company to deal with. I have personal experience of buying a 12' tree from Balsam Hill at a cost of around $2000. The biggest mistake I made last year. Once you have bought your Christmas tree from them it all goes downhill from then on. Lights burn out and whole sections stop working. I followed the directions to claim the rebate and I received a reply from another company located in Connecticut that handles the rebates. They e-mail back to me that it takes 4-6 weeks. Finally, in February, they e-mailed me again that the rebate is in the mail. I never received it. I called them up, but is impossible to get to them. I wrote them a letter and received no response. This is the biggest rip off. They deny you bringing in any food or drinks, even though it is in a public park. Then in order to purchase anything, you have to buy cash coupons. They only sell them in $5 increments. You can't use cash and any of the snack vendors for any drinks. Last time I checked, US dollars was used to pay any public or private debt. This company is horrible!!! I had my account for two years, never late or over the limit. Paid it off every month, yet I just got a letter stating due to the number of credit inquiries over the past 6 months they have decided to close my account. I contacted the credit department and was advised that the bank is not currently accepting applications and they needed to reduce the bank's risk for bad credit so a good portion of accounts are being closed.
