Rich Dad Coaching
I signed up for the Rich Dad personal coaching on a Thursday, requested cancellation on the following Monday.
During my initial phone call where I agreed to sign up for the personal coaching plan, I was told the charges would be $6983 in Canadian funds. However, my Visa was charged for $6298 US funds, which after the exchange rate was $7151.13 in Canadian funds. This is a discrepancy of $168.13 charged more than I was told.
For various reasons, including the price variance, I chose to cancel my order before I received the package... read full review »

After doing some checks about the website, it looked legit, even offering payment through paypal. I ordered a Michael Jackson Ultimate DVD collection for $89.00 with free shipping. I paid through paypal and got confirmations by e-mail. The confirmation showed a name of receiver as Zhang Yu with an e-mail of [email protected].
When I checked back the next day to see delivery status, the website was nowhere to be found. I have sent e-mails to the seller without reply. It has now been 4 days and the site is still nowhere to be found and no... read full review »

holiday inn cooper st.
The holiday inn on cooper and cartier street is the worst hotel i have ever stayed at. My family and i were staying there for a couple nights. The front desk staff were not so great and most of the maids were wonderful. However... My 2 daughters an i were waiting for an elevator and one of the maids was very unprofessional. i did not get her name but she had stark red hair. She was having a conversation with an older woman about her history of drug use and abuse. In front of my 9 and 12 year old girls she was talking about smoking crack and... read full review »
Lastmans Bad Boys
We went to the Bad Boys furniture retailer in Barrie to look for new appliances for our basement apartment we were building. We were looking at the different models of stoves in the show room, and their salesman eventually directed us toward a stove wedged between other appliances. He said they were trying to sell this floor model, and that we can save a couple hundred dollars if we took it. My wife and her father was with me, and we decided it looked like a decent stove so we paid for it in full (big mistake) and said we'll be back in a... read full review »

They will keep on withdrawling money on a "free for all" basis. It will be random days or multiple times in the same week or with a different company name.

Primus Canada Phone services
We used Primus Canada for couple of years and eventually cancelled their services due to too many dropped calls. I notified them of my intent asked them to send a final bill. I received one and paid it. Later, they sent another bill indicating I needed to pay final month payment because it was not included. I paid that too. I also returned their hardware as well. But, to my astonishment, I received a third bill supposedly for disconnection charges. When we signed up, I was told, if I was not satisfied, I needed to simply return the hardware... read full review »
Canadian Tire on St-Jacques in Montreal
Bought a mastercraft belt sander which turned out to be crap. After waiting in line for half an hour in the return line with everything including my bill, a young lady Store manager told me that, because the sander was no longer "new" they would only issue a credit valid for this very day (against their displayed return policy). I was willing to pay more for a Black and Decker unit but Canadian Tire was selling it at 99$ while Reno Depot accross the street had it at 79$. Again against their posted policy, she wouldn't offer the... read full review »

I KNOW THIS IS A LONG POST, BUT TRUST ME IT WILL BE WORTH READING! IT CAN SAVE YOU A LOT OF HASSLE.
This company proved initially to be good to use. I guess as the economy started to dwindle so did the service. I had my lawn sprayed with weed control and it seemed to work fine but only for a few weeks. I called and voiced my concern that perhaps they had not sprayed enough (given that I had used this company for several years in the past and never had an issue). I purchased a mattress from the Mattress Mart superstore on Colonnade Rd in January 09 and had them deliver it which went smoothly.
A month or so later, I decided to upgrade to a larger size which wasn't a problem because of their 60 day sleep guarantee. Now, the house is brand new and has hardwood flooring at the top of the stairs leading into each bedroom.
