I went to Tech Masters for an oil change that was to be $8.88. It ended up being 38.00. The real problem came when the mechanic came to tell me that I needed wheel barrings, a master cylinder, and that I had severe oil leaks. As a privately owned business, we must be able to count on taking and downloading our credit card sales at the end of the day to cover checks. With four service interruptions in two months as longs as 1.5 days, our business is suffering. When we call, no one will ever let us talk to a manager. It is so frustrating. When the service come out, they do not even come in the store and say that it is fixed. I guess it is up to us to keep trying all day. I decided to refinance my existing mortgage. Quicken advertised how wonderful they are so I decided to give them a try. I also have had difficulty with getting my merchandise from Bully Xtreme. I ordered a product about a month ago and sent a follow up email prior to the Christmas and I still have not had a response. I tried the phone number of the previous reporter and it is now disconnected or changed with no new number. I have had unathorized charges of $8.51 per month after a trial of acaiberry as promoted by Oprah. I cancelled after the trial and still have not had the huge amount of over $80.00 refunded. I am now getting these monthly charges of the same amount but with different company names. When calling the customer service number numerous times, I have waited on hold for over 20 minutes and then have had the customer service reps hang up on me when I ask them questions about these charges! My checking statement showed a $39 ACH Withdrawal made by Synapse on Nov 3. I called them and they informed me it was for magazines I had ordered and that I signed for 'automatic renewal.' Basically this company promises to find you a roommate or your money back HA!!! I tried calling for a refund for over 5 weeks and I was being told that they would call me right back. It never happened. The funny part is it was the same guy i talked to every time. After I got the 'ill have someone get right back to you' line for the 10th time i became impatient and i expressed myself to this gentleman. He hung up on me. The company sends a contractor (russian guy). Comes in and starts drawing a picture of how electrical circuits work to justify his exorbitant prices. Put in the electrical outlet and to my surprise the price was $600 dollars. Said my meters need to be switched out and the price for that is $1500 dollars. Do we live in the same world? After subscribing to Men's Health Magazine, I received 2 books from Rodale Inc in the mail as a preview, (Total Fitness Guide 2009 and I will be charged if I don't send them back (at my own cost) in 21 days. Other reports say that the books cost $50.90. I did not get an invoice yet for the books, and do not see an easy way to return the books until I have the invoice. Total Scam. I did order a Blackberry Storm mobile phone from them. Transferred GBP 240.- to them via Western Union. The contact person was Mr. Alan Pepple. After trasferring the mony I received a message from them stating that they would not sell a single unit, but made me an offer of buying two more units (+one free) if I sent additional GBP 550.-. They came to my house claiming they could sub lease my vehicle to a third party, guaranteeing payment of the vehicle note, insurance, etc. They provided a legal contract and took my car. This company offers 'free' trial. Then bills your credit card without further notice and continues year after year without notice. When you catch them and cancel they do not offer a refund. Many have written that the renewal 'reminder' was not sent but the renewal was processed anyway. The company is well aware of their unethical practice and continues unabated. 2009 - H&R Block and it's bank are scamming it's customer who normally file for a rapid refund. Customers who have always gotten a rapid refund are now being denied and being told that each year, "Our criteria changes."
