I am regularly lodging compaint for about 5-6 months initially through telephone on customer care and later through SMS. We too feel like we've been had! They are indeed "Implying" that the card is a Credit Card that can be used anywhere. This may help some of you who feel as we do, that we were scammed: If you paid the $89 fee with a bank debit card or a credit card, you can call your bank or credit card institution and dispute the charges!!!
