I got an email from a man saying he was from Japan and needed to purchase a home asap. It was to be a cash buy. He wanted to pay list price and wanted the doucments via docusign. Once he signed the documents I was to recieve a check. He wanted to send the check to me in my name but we don’t put clients money into our own accounts. KCPL opened a new account for me and did not send my bill to the correct address. We waited and called three times and were accused of not contacting them. Now they want $200 of a $600 bill or they will cut the electric bill by this Friday. I work at a local retailer that does not pay that much and on a fixed income.
