Bought Ethos to improve gas mileage and decrease car pollution. Also as part of their attraction was to pay them $5 and receive gas vouchers. These were to be redeemed along with $100 in gas receipts of one particular gas brand per month. I was to receive a $25 gift card for each month's redemptions for a total of$100 plus my $5 back. Paid $1250 for a BMW Head and $1k for the install. This was to be a special head carefully prepared for a race car. Car didn't run well after install of the head. I purchased a 99 VW Beetle from this company in August of 2008. It was doing ok after first driving it off the lot. After the first 30 days past, I had to buy new spark plugs and wires for this which cost me $125 for new plugs and wires. The price appeared to be the lowest around, the car seemed to be in good shape, and my salesman Ronny Bataineh seemed very friendly. After spending over $2800 on the 100, 000 warranty, my cars wiring for the turn signals went bad. Come to find out not only do they not pay for the diagnostics, they also don't pay for wiring. My son took his car to Don's Automotive of July of last year. They changed two brake lines, wheel cylinder, and weld a plate on his muffler. 2 months ago his muffler fell off on Broadway and now 5months later he has a leak in his brake hose. In November, I paid Dallas County Auto to install an engine on my work truck. It took them 2weeks after it was only supposed to take them 3 days. I ordered and paid $207.66 via phone for the gas sending unit. I was never told I could not send it back if it did not fit. I spent more then $25 shipping back the unused perfect item and $40+ on long distance phone calls trying to get my refund (they have no 800 #) & put me on hold several times. I severely needed work on the right rear wheel bearings and recieved an estimate from the Mr. Tire cienter cited above. The estimate was a low of $300.11 to a high of $361.11. I took my car in good faith and expected a maximum of #361.11. Reference to the former complaint posted: there is some discrepancy with the actual dates of service submitted. It's imperative that the information be documented accurately and this was my typographical error. I am among the many victims of the fraudulent acts of Courtesy Auto World. I traded in 2 newer cars for an older one in attempts to lower my payments in this tough economy. I also cashed in a small retirement account to provide a substantial down payment to off set the negative equity. I've been doing it since September 08 and have yet to get a rebate. Purchased a used vehicle from this dealership, advised the salesman that there was something wrong when I put on the brakes before I took it home. He just blew it off told me it was probably just rusty brakes from sitting for a while. So, I gave it a week to see if it would get better; it did not. We bought a new Tiburon on a Friday evening that was dirty, needed the wheels changed, and a second key fob. They did not have time to complete the work on Friday and gave us an appointment for Monday at 11:00am. The sales person Kathy, even said she would refill the gas tank then. I went there because they had an advertisement claiming that you could pay $500 down upfront on a vehicle and bring the remaining balance of the down payment back once you received your tax refund.
