Received a call out of the blue about tax remedies for our back taxes. My husband and I have always received refunds on IRS taxes. Called company back left a message and got a return message next day from a young woman named Jaime. Tried calling back several times, number is always busy. i had a motgage with equity 1 since 04, we had always made bimonthly payments. Our monthly statement had been showing &78, 733.72 since 7/4/07 until we closed the loan 1/30/08. when we called for a payoff we were told $83, 983.33 the company could provide no satifactory explantion for the unreflected payments to the balance or why our payoff figure was wrong. they have since closed all their offices here in NH and are planning to close nationwide by the end of the year. I visited a website and it clearly stated that it needed a credit card number in order to validate the person and it SPECIFICALLY stated that there will be NO CHARGE to the card. Almost a week later I have two charges for $22.16 on my card, for a total of $44.32!! I am outraged. His firm is representing 2 of my creditors. I contacted them after receiving a set of garnishment papers that went to one of my banks. The papers told my bank to relinquish my funds. This was the first I had heard of their plan to do so and it was already taking affect on one of my accounts. We were scammed by this mortgage company. The two egregious scammers are: Don Marginson (owner) and Lisa Hatfield (unlicensed loan officer) . We were told our 2 mortgages were fixed, no negative amortization. The two mortgages turned out to be 180 degrees different than what was sold us by these two aforementioned individuals. It takes 1 minute for a company to make a fraud charge to your checking account and it takes the Wachovia customer 20 hours in emails and phone calls to correct it or just give up. My A/C stopped working, so I searched the net and located AirCool, a local A/C repair shop in Houston, TX. A technician by the name of Lloyd came to asses how much he was going to rip me off. He looked at the compressor and said it was 'bypassing', then hooked-up his gauges to it and said it was normal. Then he said I bet your evaporator coil is dirty, causing a freeze. I ordered a four month supply of Venacura with a promise of free shipping. When filling out the billing information I find that the free shipping is in the form of an e-mail rebate. Also, I find myself being tricked into a 14 day free trial of info from Wellness Watchers. My Venacura product came but no rebate or info ever showed up. They offer two choices, Just a basic info for the charge of $1.95, or a full disclosure package for $19.95.
