I was recently enrolled in Kaplan's On-Line University. I completed my first semester with a high 90's average on both of my classes. I started my second semester which was a lot more work compared to the first semester. Irregardless, I was determined and prepared. 2 1/2 weeks into the second semester, my fiance had a stroke. I graduated with a 4.0 GPA; received the award for most outstanding graduate. To further my education, I tried to transfer credits received at Everest/ Florida Metropolitan University. The instructors didn't instruct they assigned homework and had us do it in class. Not all instructors were like this but all were late and not organized with lessons. Changed instructors mid Modular and their styles were night and day which led to repeat lessons and lower grades on tests due to misunderstandings etc. The financial staff ( Lily )was GREAT. I received an incorrect foreign education credential evaluation service from IERF. They cannot be reached by phone, only by email after ordering (and paying) a service. After receiving my official report 3 weeks after initializing their services they did not assign me the degree that the institution I studied at equate my european education with and which was accepted as a master's degree by an accredited university in the US before being admitted to their doctoral program. We ordered the CD to review the material at our leisure, and followed the return policy instructions as stated at time of call, and on invoice. The merchandise was returned to the vendor, and was signed for. I have the POD on file. After almost 2 months, I am still waiting on my refund, even though I followed all the guidelines, and allowed the adequate refund timeline to have my account credited. The student studying under periyar University are not at all happy with the new change in conducting practical exam made by our new vice Chancellor. I am student of jesus and mary college pursuing BA program. I attended my college on regular but some of the faculty were not present in the class and classes got cancelled. I CANNOT take the DANB exam (Dental Assisting National Board) in New York State because the state (New York State Education Department) requirements are 3500 hours of dental assisting experience, whether or not you have school educational requirements or on-the-job experience.
