I bought from the Glendale store. A major disappointment with company. Delivery people severely damaged my hardwood floors and company will do nothing about it.
They misrepresented sign off documents too. They had me sign for condition of unit and company says that really meant my house too...they did not give me a copy-a fact that I am investigating as I believe law requires a copy be given the consumer.
I had planned on purchasing my entire kitchen remodel here-no way! Their attractive prices are not worth the damage to my home. Cost to repair will exceed any savings. read full review »

Macadams Forbes contracted us to do a granite countertop installation for their customer during a remodel. Macadams Forbes refused to pay final invoice after completion of the installation. Customer reported Mr. Weaster, contractor, disappeared, or was arrested leaving many sub-contractors unpaid. Customer claimed over $46, 000 paid to contractor. Law suit was pending June of 2008. Short version:
* Surprise deliveries.
* $180 fee for tank removal, unless you sell the house. Then the buyer gets charged for your remaining fuel. If they don't want Eastern Propane, the tank is removed for free. (Hmmmm...why can't they offer free removal for loyal customers who are moving. I certainly won't use them again after paying that charge!)
* If you want your unexpected fuel delivery removed from you tank you may do so... at the rate of $72/ half hour or $95 an hour!!!

I purchased windows from sears in and installation done in September 2009. The installaer did not complete their work. February 2010, the installation is still not completed. I have been running around like chicken without a head calling every Sears Customer service - They dont help! What do you call poor service? Office Chairs Unlimited...Mike Harley (Owner) refused to honor the warranty on my office chair. He claims there was a separate warranty somewhere in the package with the chair but none was found.
Warranty Information directly from Office Chairs Unlimited web site. As of Feb 8, 2010, this is the only information available to the public regarding a warranty on the Office Chairs Unlimited web site. This clearly states that Office Chairs Unlimited products, at a minimum, are covered by a 6 year warranty.

On February 11th, 2010 my wife contacted a company called Plumbing 911 regarding a leak at the front of our house. I believe their main office is located on 312 Brentwood Avenue, Trussville, Alabama 35173. I believe the company is owned by a Tony C. Gowins.
Unfortunately I have been out of town and my wife was at the house (with our 15 month old) when they showed up at 4 pm. I ordered 2 bridgeport aimores from the sears website. I got 1 i called and asked where my other one was oh they were shipped seperate, i never got the 2nd one they sent it back and are supposed to credit my account. i order another one, that got charged to my account and now they are out of stock. They now owe me 2 credits. I spent hours on the phone and did not get anything resolved. I will never order from them again. I bought a matress there weeks ago and it stank soooo much. It smelled like cigarrate! I wouldnt recommend for anyone to buy something from there! I even tried spraying it with linen/mattress spray to get rid of the odor, but that didnt work. So I exchanged it, and I had the same problem. I thought it woulve been different because it was another one, but NO! I wanted my money back or exchange for a furniture instead of a matress, but they denied it. I am a former employee that has been unable to get my W2, nor a return call. For all ex-employees-I called ADP and paychex. They verifed the information on the bottom of your last paycheck is correct as far as wages and withholdings. They will not release the W2 to us directly because Nomad owes them money too, go figure. My claim to repair leaky faucet valves was denied because the knobs were off when the repairman looked at it and he said that he could not diagnose the problem even though I had the knobs nearby and I even offered to turn the water on for him so that he could see that the problem was obvious. The leak had caused the tile around the area to fall and we had cleared out the falling tile so he said that the site was not intact so they denied the claim. I've been waiting a month for items to arrive and they're still not "in stock". Very deceptive website and they keep sending an email each week pushing delivery of items back another week. Just received my credit card statement and saw that they charged my card for the entire $900 order, and I've only received about $300 of the merchandise. Difficult to get thru to customer service. Garhart built a two story addition on our house. We have had problems with the roof leaking, improper insulation, leaking gutters, electrical not up to code and other issues. This guy is the epitome of unprofessional. I would not recommend anyone hiring him to ANY type of work. If you do hire him, make him sign a VERY, VERY detailed contract outlining each and every detail of the job...even down to the type of fasteners he will use (for example). Barrera Pluming Services installed a toilet for us. It was in a new location from where it was before and apparently broke the toilet flange when installing it. They refused to take any responsibility for the workmanship and blamed it on us. Also the broke one of the plumbing sinks, again blamed it on someone else and did shody workmanship on the copper soldering in the wall.
I would not recommend them.

I had purchased a Malm queen bed frame last year and had to purchase the added metal frame piece and wooden slats that the matress sat on. I had no problems until about 3 months ago when I was getting up from my bed and the one side collapsed in. I called Ben Franklin Plumbing. They charged 70$ for a service call and the only thing the guy did was tell me I needed a new hot water heater and that it would cost me close to 2500$. He didn't drain the tank or stop the leaking or anything! It is for a traditional, every day 40 gallon water heater in a condo. I had another plumber do it for under 1000$. I am outraged that something that has happend over 9 years ago is still haunting me. I was told about 4 years ago before my first deployment, that this home was supposed to be taken off my report after 7 years which would have been in 2008 when I came home from deployment. Here is it 2010 and they are still trying to get something. SOmething that happend along time ago had ocme back to haunt me.
