I bought a whirlpool gold refrigerator from Low's late October 2009 and it was delivered a few days later. It worked for first few weeks. Then I took an 3-week vacation and it surprised me when I got home. The refrigerator completely stopped working. All the ice melt and everything inside (pork, chicken, sea food, beef, ...) spoiled. This is peak season of winter and we don't have the heat at home. We have paid our Gas bills to Atmos Energy on Monday and this is thursday. They have not reconnected our gas. We can't cook, we can't take bath as we our water heater is also gas. Everytime I call them I have to be on hold atleast for two hours and when I do finally speak to someone at Atmos, I am told the gas will be on next day. It has been going on for the last four days. Just another motor burn-out. After using the much anticipated Health Master for less than a month, the motor burnt out. I called the company immediately and was assured I would get some labels sent to me so I could return the item for replacement. I have now called three separate times, and to date, still no labels. Sales rep called and offered a "deal" for a reciprocating saw and accessories. Quoted a price of $119 and stated no shipping costs. Package arrived with an invoice of $249.50 ($119.50 for merchandise, $31.75 for freight and $18.25 for STC). The saw did not work. IN 1998 we had our roof redone with shingles by BP Canada. The work was done by a licensed roofing contractor here in Connecticut. Twelve years later we noticed the shingles had begun to crack and peel. We spoke to the roofing contractor who installed the shingles. You've probably heard their add on the radio. I hired them for a repipe. They did not complete the work in contract. They did not do work to code and they stole and damaged property. The owner refused to complete the work after I had paid all but final 10% of contract and when I refused to make final payment before completion of the work, the owner threatened me, put a mechanics lien on the home and filed a small claim suit against me for the final 10%(which was under $1500) . The steam shower and garden tub seemed like a great idea for our new home. WRONG! The unit came in 500 pieces and the directions were completely useless. There was no real wiring diagram (my unit has shorts that cannot be located so we are unable to plug it in! No help from the company and they do not respond to emails.) They never left messages and called from various numbers, even one stating "restricted." The compressors by Rigid are poor quality and the Home Depot has no means to service any problem. I went through 4 gas powered compressors in one year. 2 were under replacement and the other two were repaired at my own cost. Rigid portable twin tank models are complete junk. 6 units failed in a 18 month period. I purchased the Hampton Bay 10 pack pagoda 3 tier aluminum walk light model #982 888 less than 1 year ago. We started having problems almost immediately and that should have been a clue to return them to Loews where they were purchased. Now almost a year later and more than half of the units are inoperable, and no response from Hampton Bay, we feel STUCK with the JUNK! They are unorganized...keep getting the times and days of service wrong, so my gate is either locked or my dog is in the yard and they can't mow, fertilize, pull weeds or weedeat. If you ever have to deal with Steve Zerin, run the other way! He comes off as a nice guy who is here to help you. He is completely unorganized, does not take care of your property (scratches floors, etc.), and is completely unreliable. I cannot count the number of times he said he would be over at a certain time only to never show up and come up with a lame excuse three days later when I finally got a hold of him.
