I purchased membership from this company back in June of 2008, for a one year membership. I went in and filled out the papers to end the membership in June of 2009. You can sign up for a delivery service of any of their products and they will be shipped to you automatically and your credit card billed monthly, which is great until you want to cancel the service. There is no way to cancel the service on their website. There is not even any mention of "how" to cancel receiving their products or how to close an accunt. I've had a personal experience with this company. Yes, there is retail involved, but that seems to be their main focus. This morning I found an insect wing in the jar of peanut butter that I was feeding my children. A few weeks ago, I found what seemed to be part of a worm torso in another jar. I understand that there is a certain standard that peanut butter companies have to follow regarding insects in food manufacturing and J.M. Smucker doesn't seem to meet this standard.
