Site claims to offer trustworthy reviews of third party sites, software, electronics, etc. They are a paid reviewer. Where a reviewer is paid, the review can and will be biased. They appear to review everything yet they specialize in nothing. They list links and graphics ads directly linked to product suppliers. They appear to be nothing more than an electronic catalog. When thinking of using this site for its advertised purpose, consider this, would a Sears catalog offer negative opinions about products they stand to benefit from. My problem is with the "Good Sam" RV club. They are in the business of selling worthless extended protection plans. They sell you this plan when you buy an RV that is 10 years old or newer, for 10% of your purchase price. I had a claim the first year. The jacks wouldn't work. They denied the claim. The second year I had a claim leaking air bags. They denied it also. I appealed to the department manager, a man named Scott, who said, "you don't really expect us to pay out money on an 8 year old rv, do you? They send you shipping confirmation email but when you go to track the order there is no "status" or "tracking number" or anything of value. I orderd Omni PCTV from a website that appeared official. It has all the information you could need to make an informed decision. The cost was $39.00 for the programm that should have supplied me TV with 3500 TV channels on my computer. The web site accepted my VISA payment and allowed me to download their software. I completed a 6 week research on my cigarette purchases, which ended on August 9th, 2010. It was clearly stated that checks would have been mailed out 6-8 weeks from end date. As of December 2010, no incentive check, and no responses by email or phone after numerous attempts. For a federal program the government does not oversee and administer this service at all. It is simply forgotten and subcontracted to Trac Fone who runs a shoddy program bereft with problems, poor service and unethical policies that take advantage of the poor and disabled. I've entered in a contract with them to help to ease my wife's nerves after I caught a mouse in our pantry. They've put down a few ant traps and a mouse trap like six months ago and all their representative does is to "monitor" these once month for $37. In the meantime we had more mice which I had to catch with traps I bought. I contacted them but there's no solution to my satisfaction. The "resources" they used could be bought from one monthly fee. Background music is at 70db or louder. We have complained to the store manager several times and asked to turn the volume down some. We were informed that the volume was set remotely from the home office, whever that is, and they had no local control. Manager was not inclined to tell us where the home office is or whom we should contact to lodge a complaint. James Scott called me a few months ago claiming he was the ADA from the calif office and that I was under investigation from bank fraud made by chase manhantten bank. He gave me a lot of my personal information over the phone including my ss# so it sound real to me and he scared me to death! He said I could be arrested in the near future for this. the only way to avoid this was for me to send a apology letter and to wire him $600 within 10 days. I almost fell for this! One--the caller says the appointment takes 20 to 25 minutes wrong it takes over one hour. Two the appointment person says the costs says the monitoring is " about a dollar a day" wrong closer to $40.00 a month. Brady Katz & White, a Pembroke Florida collection agency, solicited our company for past due debts. Information on a past due account was given but no agreement was ever entered in to by any party. BKW called back some weeks later and stated that the account was located and the responsible party said thanks for the free goods.
