My sister and I were threatened (with my three children) by another guest at the Hilton Garden Inn in Chattanooga TN on Chestnut St. The man shoved his way onto the elevator with the luggage trolley even though there was not room for him and us with all of our bags hanging from our shoulders. I reserved a room at the resort for one night, for $498. When I found that the boat I was meeting in Nassau was arriving early, I called Atlantis to cancel the room. As I was calling six days ahead of time, I guessed there would be a penalty. What I didn't figure on was that I would be penalized for TWO nights. I was approached by this man at an expo in Minneapolis about doing a 'trade' for a service I was offering. He was offering free two nights and three days at resorts and hotels around the country. When I called him later to schedule the hotel visits, he informed me that there was a $25 'application fee'. When I told him that that was not part of the trade, he became verbally abusive and insulting. I purchased a package for 4 days, 3 nights in Orlando and a 2 night cruise, with the option to set the date at a later time. While staying at the Royal Villa as the guest of an owner, we agreed (after several attempts to say no) to attend a 90 minute sales presentation.
