Holloways Upholstery
Karmah October 14, 2010
I took several chairs to Holloways Upholstery to have them re upholstered. Pricing was different than what was verbally quoted. I asked for but never received an email outlining the cost per piece. Even so, I paid in full when my chairs came back to me. One of the chairs was not put back to gether correctly, and when we finally sat in the chair, the back fell off. Then we noticed that Holloways damaged the wood, splitting it, when they used too much force and the wrong sized screws. Holloways took the chair back to put different screws in but... read full review »

I ordered a copy of the French movie "Ponette" that was advertised as having English subtitles. The movie I received had only Korean subtitles. I sent a message to ImportCDs stating that I had not received the product ordered and asked them to look at their stock of DVD's of that film. I got a response telling me to return the DVD for a refund. The way I see it I already paid $9 for the film and now they are asking me to pay another $3 to send it back! All that for a $6 refund! In other words, I am spending twice the cost to get... read full review »

They sent me a letter stating that they would service my Saturn L200 vehicle, but when I brought it there they said they couldn't fix my problem and that I would have to go to an authorized GM dealer. Why did they say they could repair Saturn when they are NOT authorized by GM??? The rotten people also charged me over $80.00 just to tell me that too!!! Sick and tired of being taken for a ride. Be careful if you are thinking about buying a Saturn because you will have a very hard time trying to get it serviced. read full review »

I ordered a pair of Uggs from www.uggkickse.com. The website says their merchandise is absolutely authentic. I paid with my credit card. The product I received came from Xingren Co. Ltd, via EMS mail. The product I recieved is clearly a counterfeit Ugg product. There is noticeable glue, and sloppy stitching which attaches the rear Ugg tag to the back of the boot. I have brought it to a authorized Ugg dealer and they have verified the product is counterfeit. Their return policy charges a ridiculous 25% restocking fee and additional... read full review »

Google AdWords is frustrating and here's their phone number so you can yell at them - Google AdWords has a poorly designed user interface - it's hard to navigate and slow. Moreover, they do not let you do simple things like change your billing from pre-pay to post pay. Lastly, getting decent customer service help is next to impossible - they just email you links to their help pages, which is infuriating if you've already read them. Yes, it doesn't look like a scam at first sight, but it displays a BBB (Better Business Bureau) icon which, if you follow it through, refers to a completely different - and presumably legitimate - company with a similar name. Also look at the testimonials, many of which refer to a company called Leader Post which doesn't have a Google listing at all. At the very least, be careful of this one and If this is a service you really need, it looks like you should shop around.
