On February 2nd I contacted the business by phone to cancel the $211.95 transaction. I was told it would be canceled. As of Febuary 14th the transaction continues to be listed on my VISA statement. I just received a bill from Dressbarn for 122.62. To my knowledge I paid this account in full within 30 days of my last purchase. The bill I received stated that I owed 100. and that I was being charged a late fee of 20. plus the interest on the balance. I attempted to access my account online to find out what was going on. The area of the site where you can click to access your credit card account would not open. To pay over the phone, if I in fact owe anything cost 10. We checked into this property for an extended period of time, expecting (given the amount we were paying) an upscale vacation rental. What we found was a home that appeared to be lived in. I made a payment on Dec. 23, 2009 with electronic check, at store. On Jan. 8, 2010 HSBC contacted me to see if I would bring payment up to date. On my Verizon Local Phone bill was a section with charges from "Other Providers" In the details the following company was listed: OAN Services, Inc. Ideal Savings Now LLC Voicemail Nationwide with charges of 14.95 plus tax (1.05) total charge = $16 I called the numbers listed on the bill to cancel the service and then stayed on the line (which was required) to request a refund of the charges. The attendent was courteous and promised to initiate a refund which would be credited to my Verizon Bill in "one to three billing cycles".
