I have had this dishwasher for slightly over a year. The latch started popping open intermittently a few months ago. I was told by the authorized warranty repair company that there is a re-designed strike and door latch available. Obviously the design of the original latch has been recognized by Whirlpool as being inadequate. We stopped in this dealership on Aug 22, 2008 to look for a used car & truck. We couldn't see any prices on the vehicles that we were interested in and no salesperson came out to help us. We went into the dealership building and walked across the length of the building twice. The receptionist was on the phone, no one even acknowledged us. I signed a contract for a guarenteed loan, to recieve it within 24hrs. They pushed me around for a week saying it'll be there between 1&3, 1&5.Than they wanted $750. for insurance, i called them with the insurance & they say ok between 1&3 youll recieve the funds, never recieved it! than i call them back today and they say that they backed out on it and it will take up to 15days to recieve all of my refund, but it took an hour to recieve it. I purchased some Debbie Travis bowls at Canadian Tire in St. Albert, Alberta, Canada. I ensured that I read all the labels to confirm these bowls were dishwasher and microwave safe. To add my voice to the fray: I can attest to the fact that Bloomex delivers exceedingly late, or not at all; provides a sub-standard product (dead or dying at the time of delivery); has absolutely no form of what you could cogently call 'customer service'; and refuses to issue refunds even when they are firmly at fault. Only 7 months later we had to repair the ice maker under warranty ( no problem) well it never got fixed till late Jan/06. Fido has been a disappointment from the start. Their fees have increased without notice, services are extremely difficult to access and only pre-authorized payments are allowed on a pay as you go program (unless you are prepare to pay every month on a fix date with the threat of being discontinued every time). I purchased (and paid for) a custom built oar. It was originally sent approximately 2 months after payment by DHL. Per DHL's tracking service it was lost. I purchased a so-called warranty at The Future Shop. I've since found out that a this warranty consists of a thirty dollar piece of paper with the work warranty appearing on it.
