Tangarine / Pivotal Payments
Doug Lynn October 7, 2010
Elavon is totally upfront and legit. The problem is with some of their independent contractors. Tangarine Merchant Services is a complete scam. I have used ELAVON for years in conjunction with COSTCO! Tangarine and others are owned by a company called Pivotal Payments. They are worse than the most unscrupulous used car salesman!! They insinuated that they were going to reduce my rates and everything would remain the same with Elavon. Within a week of signing up 4 seperate companies were taking funds out of my account. They promised me 2... read full review »

Express Transactions

2 years ago Express Transactions phoned and our receptionist (only been here 3 days) answered. They said to her that they were shipping a new box of visapaper rolls. She said ok. When the product got here I asked where it came from because I knew that we always used a different supplier and that I was the person to do the ordering. So we sent the product back by Purolator and Express Transactions refused the shipment so it came back to us and is still sitting here. We have been getting calls from them and a so called Collection Agency (of... read full review »

Palliser
lavandebl October 7, 2010
I also purchased a leather Palliser sofa, loveseat & armchair in 2008. When our set was delivered to us 12 weeks later, the seams on the arm of the sofa were also puckered. I immediately called the store that I purchased the set and a complaint was sent to Palliser. I was advised by Palliser that there was nothing they could do, (so much for their warranty). Needless to say I would never buy Palliser furniture again. Poor quality and expensive price tag, not to mention terrible customer service! read full review »

Milton Peds Dentistry
justanotheremployee October 6, 2010
A brand new "kids dental office" swallowing up the entire half of the second floor behind the supermarket...what a shame! Hope the dentistry performed is better than this waste of good space. Hope they can pay their bills--takes patients to come in for treatment for this to happen. But the wages they pay their staff, well, this shouldn't cut into the budget that much. Minimum wage for a health care professional is absolutely ridiculous. read full review »

SUBARU TRIBECA 2008
jmrodgers40 October 6, 2010
Have had a 2008 Subaru Tribeca since new. Since I took delivery, I have had a problem with it hesitating when climbing a slight grade or as when passing another vehicle. I feels as though the engine is misfiring, although I was assured by the technicians that this was not the case. The problem, I was advised, was in the transmission. They have remapped the transmission computer, changed out two torque converters, and performed a myriad of other tests. The technician insists the problem remains, and indeed, I notice it daily. On August 4th (over 2 months ago), we purchased 4 outdoor lights from Total Lighting and Decor in Burlington on Fairview Street. Total cost was $600.00. We made a deposit of $370 and were told it would be 2 weeks before they came in. After the 2 weeks, the lights had not arrived and we were told they would be in next week. We got the same story now every week thereafter for the past 2 months. The staff at the Total Lighting store never seemed to show any care or concern regarding our order. In August 2010 my husband and I were looking at purchasing floors. We shopped around for about 6 weeks getting quotes and measurements. We visited Canoak Flooring and found a product we liked. Asked if someone could come out and give us a quote. 2 or 3 days later a man showed up measured everything while he was at our home I questioned him on the product. He gave me every reason why I should not worry about anything he has been doing this for so many years. This company is a SCAM if I ever saw one. We had a high pressure fear mongering sales person come to our door 4 years ago and pressured my wife into signing a 5 year contract. This complaint concerns the company's refusal to honor their commitment to pay for return shipping of one of their defective laptop batteries. Their game is to cause a customer to pay for shipping a claimed defective battery to Canada instead of WA. This is a large cost to send a 3 lb battery. Then, after doing so, they supposedly check the returned battery and determine that's it's just fine and there must be something wrong with your computer.
