I am EXTREMELY disappointed in the quality of Nissan. I bought a certified used 2005 Altima with around 30,000 miles on it. At around 60,000 miles it needed a new transmission. It now needs another transmission only 40,000 miles later. That's 100,000 miles and 2 transmissions. This is NOT the quality car I thought I read about. The dealer also was nice enough to inform me that because the transmission was only warranteed for 12 months/12,000 miles, that I will be charged for the new transmission. What is that all about? I ordered a part last week and chose the 2nd day air delivery from UPS(which was an extra $60). It has been over 5 days and have gotten no response from the company. They took their phone number off their website (hmmm). And their contact us page says they reply to emails promptly (hmmm). I have emailed them like 10 ten times to find out when they are going to ship and i get no response. I called my credit card company to cancel and they said they couldnt for some reason. I purchased a Peugeot 206 from Peugeot Cape Town brand new in March 2006. Since then the car has been more in the workshop than what we had it. The car has gone back to the dealer now for the eight time with the same problem. The guys at the service department told me that they don't know what the problem is. The have apparently sent the diagnosis of the car to Europe and Coventry in the UK. Still they can't solve the problem. In December of 2006 I purchased a 2007 Chevrolet Corvette as well as purchasing the extended warranty. A few months ago the coupe top started to make a real bad creeping noise. I contacted the dealer from which I purchased the car and was told the repair should take a few days. 45 days later the car was still not fixed.In fact it was worse. On 11-10-2007 ,i went to have my 1996 Madza pick-up tohave brakes and drum and rotor replaced on truck. the parts were appromiately 250.36. they charged me 1100.00 dollars for the job. I believe that they over charged on the labor. It only took 2hours to do the job. they charged 325.00 per hour .That is way too much. I have a 2003 chevy Tracker with 67771 miles on it. This company calls me on my job no fewer than 6 times a day. Currently I owe for last months payment and this month's payment goes past due on Friday. I will pay these people. In the meantime, although they have an alternate number for me, they call me at work. I work in a call center and can not make outgoing phone calls unless I am on a break. I went to Tire Kingdom in Salisbury NC on 11/9/07. Wanting two new tires, All 4 wheels aligned, the brakes checked for wear and an oil change. About an hour later I got a call telling me the brakes had quite a lot of life left. I declined replacing the brake pads. I signed the document authorizing the work to be done with a $4.00 shop charge (For consumables they tell me).

I had a 2002 Nissan Sentra. The engine light went on when I went over 50k miles, which made it impossible to get a state inspection. So I brought it to Michael Jordan Nissan and paid over $350 for a rear O2 sensor. Later I found the part online for $118. The engine light remained on and I was told that I had to drive for 75-150 miles to 'recycle' the ECM.

I would strongly advise against using this company. We booked car hire through Carjet and were allocated this rental company. On arrival at Palma airport we were told that the car wasn't available, even though we had booked in advance and notified the company of our flight details. We were asked if we wanted to pay more for an alternative car which we declined. Finally after waiting around for about 45 minutes a car was provided.

1. I leased a brand new LR2 a few months ago and 2 weeks later found out is was a lemon--the car would die as I was driving. The dealership was going to sell me another car at a "good price" and was instead trying to upsell me and went back on their deal. I finally asked them to just switch me to another LR2. The previous one is still in their repair shop up till now (its been almost 7 months).
2. I went in for my first car service. I asked if they could let me know when my car would be ready b/c I have to go to work the next day. I have left numerous messages in their service dept and NO ONE is there.

On July 23, 2007 I took my Buick to Alternative Transmissions by Jack Dempsey in Winter Garden for a Radiator replacement. I had already purchased the replacement radiator at a Parts Store for $250 before I went to save time. Bill, the Manager gave me a estimate for $70 and said it would be ready in 1 hour. Approximately 4 hours later the replacement was complete and I was charged $180. Though it was not the price quoted I did not complain.

These plugs, (NGK PRF6Q) are much cheaper. The highest price I found was $14.58 each at the Audi dealer. I called and spoke to Mike who said that is what they paid. I was notified by Cadillac of a safety recall on my car concerning the fuel line. I was told to take it to a dealer and have it inspected and repaired at NO COST. On 10/20/07 I was notified by Cadillac that my fuel line was possibly defective and to take it to my nearest dealer and have it repaired at NO CHARGE 'I was told by the dealer that by repairing the fuel line it might possibly deamage the fuel pump abd i would have to pay for the replacement of a new fuel pump if necessary. I contacted Cadillac and they basically told me the same thing. What a rip off, i didn't create this problem and don't feel it is my problem since cadillac was the one that put in a defective, dangerous fuel line. I guess it's time to buy a Honda !
