AARP refused to pay for my prescription for Sular. I read the 2009 Formulary book sent to me in late December of 2008 for the year 2009. Sular was listed as a Tier 2 drug. This company has with drawn 87.98 from my checking account. I called on the Dec. 23rd, Dec. 23rd afternoon, Jan. 5, and Jan. 10th. I called twice yesterday and left my number for a return call and received no response. As with the others I agree this was a spam and we are getting taken. This will be my third pair of ECCO Men's Track II High boots. I will start out by saying that they are very comfortable and the uppers are bullet proof. The weak link is the sole. It is an injected/molded design which cannot be replaced (with same design). The outer material wears quickly, exposing the black injected foam. I too thought I was ordering a "free" sample of a teeth whitening. I then discovered an $88.97 charge out of my checking account. This is not fair. I too am on a fixed income and just about cover my bills each month. To have this taken out of my checking account was a bad surprise. I did call and write they did respond. This is not a complaint, but a Suggestion. If you have ordered any of these products on a "free trial" offer, Cancel your debit/credit card IMMEDIATELY! This is the only way I have found to stop the charges. Calling and e-mailing the company to cancel order and stop the charges simply does not work (not even with a confirmation number). This is a company to stay away from. They offer you a free trial for shipping and handling. When you get the product, within 15 days they charge your account over $50.00. You have only 15 days to return the product. Then they send you refills that you do not ask for. It is very hard to stop the money they suck out of your account. I purchased two sets of eyeglasses at the above business. Unbeknownst to me, they opened up a Lenscrafters Account and charged part of my purchase to the account. Subsequently, they turned the bill over to GE Collections service, which was sending invoices to the wrong name and address. In addition, when my Social Security number is entered by GE, another person's name is shown. My impression of SMC. I have read many of the complaints posted on this site. I agree with many of them (if not all of them). I experienced this company's unfair business practice...after 27 payments, the final one mysteriously was late [although sent on time] and they back charged me interest from the start of the plan. I found out from a local credit / debt lawyer that this is unethical...find your old statements and if the charges were not on those statements, they cannot 'post date' them.
