I received a phone call to confirm an online order with a mastercard. I was given a phone number to call to verify that I placed no such order. The lady said she had no record of the order placed. I then called the original number back and got an automated response saying that by calling them i was confirming the order. This phone number 757-201-9026 calls my phone roughly 3 times a day, at any time. I've read on a different board that some people receive this call because they signed up for that Google Treasure Kit thing for $1.99, and some people say they ask for you credit card to try and scam you, and someone else said they call offering free government grants. I booked 5 rooms via roomsnet.com back in May 09 for a long weekend 21st august. Rooms had been paid in full, and I received the confirmation voucher.
