We were approached and offered a web site to be designed for a fee and a verbal agreement was reached that a once off fee is payable and all updates etc after wont be charged. We probably had two updates and then they said they quoted us for X and not for what we want and would need to be charged for. We argued this and then they said they would do simple updates just to keep us happy. None of the updates were done. We were also promised a disk with all of our details on it, that wasnt delivered either. We phoned them and we were told to go to... read full review »

I sent back packet, (removed everything from Priority Mail envelope and put everything into new Priority Mail envelope). They received it 5-19-2009 and told me it would be processed on Thursday's taking 3-5 business days to be put back into my account. It still isn't in my account as of 6-18-2009. They keep saying the packet is missing a scam or spam policy, and that is why it hasn't been processed. I have sent everything back that they sent me! Is this just an excuse not to refund my money? Maybe they think I will forget my $150.00. I won't. They need to honor their guarantee!!! read full review »

David June 18, 2009
My father had free hosting with freeservers, in 2001 he decided to pay for the most basic pack that includes 50 mb and no ads. About the service itself there are no complaints, everything that he needed worked well, but his site is plain HTML. However the financial part is what I'm trying to warn you about. In 2006 I grew up to discover and clean all the mess: since the beginning (2001) they took of $5/month instead of $3. Now at 2006 they started to take $6/month. Just like that, without any notice and explanation. This time he... read full review »

Not only do they sell products that flat out do not work (airx wind turbines do not produce any viable electricity until the wind reaches at least 28 mph) they also pretend to have an open public forum. Since I am just a retired cop and Freetricity supporter I can go outside the box and report their forum scam that leads to the defamation of other competing companies. *** This is the holy grail email of an ongoing negotiations (now abandoned) between The Alternative Energy Store and Freetricity. *** For months the Alt Energy... read full review »

How do they bill you? Most legitimate mentors (for hire) will charge by the hour. Most illegitimate mentor services charge a large up front fee for X number of sessions in X number of weeks (or months). The difference is if you find the advice worth less than you expected, you don't call the per hour person back and you only lose the price of a session or two. If you find the advice of the large up front fee people worthless you have to fight like hell to get your money back against people who likely make their money by not giving refunds. read full review »
